Can you explain why? A thought-out and logical explanation would suffice.

I kinda understand. For me it was Season 1 was great, 2 was "mostly trash," and 3 was the season that nearly turned me off the show.
FOUNTAIN was one of my least favorite eps.

Personally, I thought season 3 was a little boring (my favorite is Season 5, and I thoroughly enjoyed Season 2), but there were still some gems in there, like PINKEYE, BUTT, and ROBBERS.

I still haven't seen all of seasons four and five. Maybe I should visit the episode download thread.

@ the episodes: I don't really know if an episode is a season 1, 2, etc... (and I call myself a fan?!) so I have no idea of which episode(s) is/are you talking about. There are a few uh.. episodes which I find.. not that entertaining (not that I hate them or anything). I don't know why, but I don't seem to like Jewels or Hugs...

FOUNTAIN was one of my least favorite eps. 2 was trash? 2 is my second favourite season! . The episodes were really good, my favourite is SUPPORT. I laughed till I cried

You can find my opinions here, though these reviews really, REALLY need to be re-written. To wit though, as someone who had watched Season 1 several times over and analyzed the beejeebers out of it, I found Season 2 to be quite jarring, almost like it was an entirely different series. In Season 1, the KND Universe was big, expanding, and always full of new places, and the characters were deep and made you think about them as people. In Season 2, we started to see more of the world... and as we did, it became gradually less interesting. Season 2 was when everything had to revolve around Rainbow Monkeys, Season 2 was when Kuki became more obnoxious than cute, Season 2 was when the writers started increasing the amount of gross-out humor and movie parodies (and the absolute sign that any show has lost its creativity is when you can watch five episodes in a row and they're all movie parodies). What I think changed most though, was the "feel" of the show. In Season 1 you get the idea that you're watching the adventures of five kids who have their own private clubhouse, who--like Calvin and Hobbes--just happen to have extraordinary things at their disposal. It was, essentially, like watching a childhood fantasy play out on screen. With Season 2 though, it kinda lost this appeal and became more like a dumbed-down, badly-animated G.I. Joe. One of these days, I really need to define the special quality of Season 1....

In Season 1, the KND Universe was big, expanding, and always full of new places, and the characters were deep and made you think about them as people. I saw their personalities get deeper (especially Hoagie) in Season 2. But that's MHO. Season 4 was the real Rainbow Monkey overload. Thank heaven the writers cut back on them a LOT this current season. I guess Mr. W and Co. thought they needed a trademark? No argument there. She's just starting to recover from one-dimensional land. One of my big beefs with Season 4, and the beginning of Season 5, was the overreliance on movie parodies. That drove me nuts. To be fair, some of my favorite episodes were gross-out ones. It's also fair to say that the show is not based around gross-out humor, like some of the more recent CN offerings are. Season 1, to me, was a little too timid and boring, and to be fair, the writers were only starting to explore what they could do with this universe. It really got good at the very end, with Op. GROW-UP. You can say this season ender was the take-off point to bigger and better things...OR the start of what would happen in season 2.

Hahhahah yep, no matter how you cut it, on one hand you have people saying the show got gradually worse as it went on, and then you have people saying it started to improve again recently. That leaves poor Season Three squarely in the middle.

0.o I actually dno't think Season 3 was /that/ bad. I actually liked it quite a bit. I'm really fond of a lot of its episodes, like PINKEYE, FOUNTAIN, and JEWELS. In fact, Season 3 was the season I started to watch more of.
