So I want a Wii someday, and there is one thing I cannot decide: whether to buy the Wii version or the Gamecube version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
If I decide on the Wii version, it will add onto the Wii game library and I'd get a different gameplay experience because I'm using the Wiimote and Nunchuck. However, that also means the controls might take some getting used to, and I won't be able to play it on the Gamecube (I'm using my bro's Gamecube and he might want to play).
If I decide on the Gamecube version, I can play it on either the Gamecube OR the Wii (which also means my bro could borrow it and play on his Gamecube), and I can use the Gamecube controller for a more familiar gaming experience. However, that means one less in the Wii game library, and I'll miss out on the experience of using the Wiimote with the game.
What do you think?

I like the Wii. You get to swing the remote and nunchucks around like a real sword! *swingity*

I'd say get the Gamecube version, so you have the backwards compatibility feature. This way, if one system breaks down on you, you won't have to wait or spend tons of money before you can ever play the games again, as you can always play it on the other one.

Okay, reading here and hearing an opinion of a friend, I decided on Gamecube version. The pros of Gamecube outweight the pros of Wii. Sure, I'll miss out on the Wiisperience on this game, but it's not like I won't be using the Wiimote in unique ways in other games. I was also suggested try renting the Wii version later and see which I end up liking better. I might do that, maybe.
Thanks.
