Plays swords of revealing light. Although I was told recently it was a banned card? Only in tournaments and stuff. When playing just for fun between friends you can use whatever freaking cards you want. Heck, for Magic: the Gathering my sister even made custom cards based on X-Men.

Swords of revealing light is banned now? Are you kidding me?! It only works for three turns!

That's sorta why I don't like Collectible Card Games (or one reason I don't, anyway): They make all these cards, basically at random, then some of them turn out to be so powerful that they have to make rules limiting their usage. That's stupid! It's like playing Monopoly and saying no one is allowed to own Boardwalk or Park Place.
But then, CCGs are kind of a waste of time anyway. Why would you want to play a game where "skill" is equivalent to "how much money you waste buying cards which'll only become useless when the next booster is released"?

Actually, some of the cards really do have great effects. Take the King of Oblivion for example..sure, you have to pay 2000 life points to activate his effect, but the effect it worth it - it gets rid of all cards except for itself on the field, so you can immediately attack whomever you're playing right after the effect.

But I don't play in tournaments I only play for fun.

I would, but seeing as I have no cards, I can't wonder if my friend still has her old cards ...

Tournament play is boring. Play your friends instead! ^_^

Yup, I mean, what's the point of learning extra rules and removing your favourite banned cards from your deck to play in a tournamant?

Yup, I mean, what's the point of learning extra rules and removing your favourite banned cards from your deck to play in a tournamant? You mean besides the fact that you can win money in tournaments?

Well, there is that, but then again you might lose, and what's the point of rearanging your deck for that? Actually there's a lot of point, but oh well

It varies tournament to tournament. I enjoy it. Especially this morning when I won two games with all my life points still in tact at the end. ^_^ The game calms me down. I know it's dorky, but..hey, it's fun.
