I'm sorry I'm so slow in responding to this, lol. My favorite is definitely Yami, followed by Kaiba.

Sorry, I hate those stupid short-form codes . So do I. It makes me ashamed to be a human being when I see my fellow man resorting to such lazyness--there's no reason they can't just type out the freakin' name!

I hate Kaiba, he's such a jerk! I like Joey, because he's funny and a good friend. Yugi is a wimp, he allways cries, like that time when Kaiba kicked his butt. (Not Yami)

(Not Yami) Try reading the original manga, particularly the first chapter, where Yugi lets himself get beaten up in order to take some of the heat off his friends. Hardly a "wimp."

Try reading the original manga, particularly the first chapter, where Yugi lets himself get beaten up in order to take some of the heat off his friends. Hardly a "wimp." They cut that part out of the show? Damn, I loved that part. Well.... long story here. See, there's the manga, then there's TWO Yu-Gi-Oh anime (not counting GX et al). One was by Toei, lasted 27 episodes and was based roughly on the first seven volumes of the manga (I say "roughly" because most of the episodes were entirely original stories, and the ones that were adaptions of manga stories had heavy alterations--yes, I've actually seen this version). Toei's version DOES contain the scene of Yugi protecting Jonouchi and Honda by letting himself get beaten up. Then there's the second, more popular Yu-Gi-Oh anime, which is known as "Yu-Gi-Oh: Duel Monsters." This is the series that was picked up and distributed all over the world, this is the one you watched on KidsWB every Saturday morning. This version skipped to volume eight of the manga, picking up immediately with the "Duelist Kingdom" story arc. In this version, the part where Yugi defends Joey and Honda from Ushio is told entirely in a flashback. I can't say for certain, but I don't believe the English dub version editted this flashback out, though they did revise the story. All in all though, the best way to get the full Yu-Gi-Oh story is to read the manga. That was what I was talking about, looks like a wimp to me! Yugi could have just finished off Kaiba with his Celtic Guardian and let him fall of the ledge. (Bwahahaha!) Ain't nuthin' "wimpy" about not wanting to be responsible for someone's death. Particularly when that someone is simply trying to rescue his brother...

I've been a fan of the manga for a while. I stopped watching the anime though.

So have I. Mostly because 4Kids cancelled the Uncut editions, and I refuse to watch their lame translation (except for GX, which I honestly don't mind as much). If I had access to the Japanese versions, I would not mind watching the series.

The GX translation totally sucks! I mean listen to Syrus's voice! I can barely keep my eyes open! I heard of that Toei thing or whatever it was.

Mainly, I found 4Kids GX more fun to watch than 4Kids translation of Yu-Gi-Oh: Duel Monsters... I guess it's because Kazuki Takahashi had nothing to do with GX so I didn't really care what happened to it.
And the Toei series... man, I wish I still had VCDs of that. Even not knowing Japanese, it was an awesome show. And Yami's voice was PERFECT.

He was threatening to commit suicide, everytime his Life points got reduced he took a step backwards. You know, for some reason I like Yugi. Not Yami.
