What's your favorite game soundtrack and/or song? Right now, I can't stop listening to an orchestrated version of FF8's battle theme.

The Grand Theft Auto games always had great soundtracks, even dating back to the original. Vice City is probably my favorite, with the 80's pop and hair metal. The alternative and classic rock parts of San Andreas also rule.

Actually I'm mostly refering to original stuff, not licensed, like GTA, Donkey Konga and the like.

I always thought (and this is probably common opinion) that Castlevania: Symphony of the Night had great music.
Most RPGs do too. Of all the Final Fantasy games, I must say parts 1 and 4 had the best soundtracks.

Call me crazy, but I like the music in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. Esspecially Ms. Mows theme song and the final battle music.

I love the Star Fox music for Star Fox 64, it is very good for a midi. Then I love the fact for assault they used the same themes except orchastrated. Its really quite mind blowing.
I'm also addict to One Winged Angel from one of the Final Fantasies but I've never played one of the games.
