Has anyone else ever played these games? IMO, this is one of the most underrated series out there. I especially like the fact that the stealth element is enforced and encouraged throughout the entire game, requiring heavy strategy on the part of the player. I also really like the characters in the game. Garrett is just so damn cool with his cynical, sarcastic commentary, and Karras is possibly the greatest villain ever. I haven't played the third game (Deadly Shadows) yet because my video card won't support it, but The Dark Project (the first one) is my favorite game of all time. The second one, The Metal Age, wasn't quite as good, particularly because some things (namely the giant steam-powered robots that shot bombs out of cannon arms in a medieval setting) seemed completely out of place. Still, some individual levels (Trail of Blood) were better than TDP, and there was more character development for surrounding characters and people other than Garrett.
So, opinon? commentary? anything? Discuss Thief here if you've played it, or ask for me to elaborate on why you should if you haven't, and just tell everyone about your experiences as a taffer.

I played the first one on the PC. I got it from a friend who ended up with two copies (he bought one, and later bought a video card that ended up coming with another one). Fine game if I remember correctly.
