Didn't know whereelse to put this, so eh... By the way, this isn't meant to be taken seriously, it's all in good fun. Just name all the weird things, cliches, or unwritten "rules" of RPGs that you can think of.
- If you live in a medievalish setting in a small village, don't ever leave it, not even to run an errand. You might come back to find it burned.
- Villians like to tell you to shut up and fight. Of course, that won't stop them from rambling on and on about how they'll beat you or how their plan would be put into effect, during the battle.
- Don't panic if you see numbers bounce around during a fight.
- One of the final boss's favorite tactics is to come back to life as something bigger and uglier whenever you kill him.
- Villians desire to destroy the world, usually by means of learning a forbidden spell or gathering objects or summoning some big-arse meteor. Though when you finally face them you can very well see they can destroy the entire world, if not the entire solar system, on their own already....
- ... and don't be surprised to find the world and yourself still intact after he uses such an attack.
- Stay at a hotel for one night and you'll find all your wounds and illnesses gone.
- Stay at a hotel during the day and it will suddenly fade into night for 5 seconds, then becomes day again. Highly useful if there's a night-time event you don't want to go to or something.

Yea, I thought you'd like them.
I never knew you were a gamer before, NumbuhInfinity. Didn't you have anything to say when me and RisanF started talking about Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Adventure Island, etc.?

Yea, I thought you'd like them. I never knew you were a gamer before, NumbuhInfinity. Didn't you have anything to say when me and RisanF started talking about Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Adventure Island, etc.? I sorta got lost in your discussion... Plus it was off-topic, and I didn't want to be in the guilty party. ;D I did think Chrono Cross sucked, though. But anywho. I am sure there are some RPG weird stuff/cliches/"rules" that haven't yet been thought of, though. Oh yeah, here's some: - In voice-acting RPGs (i.e. Grandia, FF10, Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits), the main character is some teenaged dude with a liking to shout loudly during battle and sprouting out cheesy lines during the fight (i.e. "Justice will prevail!"). Numbuh Two might like these characters. - And also in VA RPGs, particularly in anime-ish ones, there is always the high-pitched little or early-teen girl character who cannot resist screaming at the top of her lungs so much it could drive Three's little sister Mushi to tears. - Poker Face Facepic. That's what I call some of them games where if the character's face is beside their dialouge it will always stay the same expression, whether it's emotionless or a big smile, even if they're ticked off or crying.
