No guarantee it will be any good if Take 2 are the publisher. Take 2 have released some real dire stuff in their time, especially prior to the later GTA games. Lots of people quote the GTA series and Take 2 in the same breath as an example of how good Take 2 are supposed to be. But GTA is developed by RockStar Studios and Take 2 only DISTRIBUTE it. In the same way, A KND game will only be good if Take 2 pick a decent developer. Unfortunately it's usually the way of things that if you spend a fortune on obtaining an official license to produce a game, there's about $2.58 left in the budget to actually spend on programming the game itself.
I'm not saying that every licensed game is a failure (the Hamtaro games are good, demonstrating the value of using a good developer) but 9 out of 10 of them are pathetic platformers where they've probably dug up a years-old old game that everyone's forgotten about and swapped the graphics for ones that look like the licensed property in question. The Powerpuff gameboy games could have been any gameboy game of the last decade if the PP's weren't in it

They picked up Take 2? Awww drat. Why didn't they pick a good company, like Konami (who did a bunch of good Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games back in the day)? A bit of History Perspective... Take Two once released a game called Battlecruiser 3000 A.D., which had been in development for seven years, yet when it was released, it had so many bugs and glitches that it was basically unplayable. I can already tell the KND game is going to be some generic platform game hacked together in the space of six months.

My best bet is that the KND may become a hybrid of its franchise cartoon plus a mix of crime-in-the-streets thing like GTA or a racing type melee like Midnight Club 2.
Hopefully, it WON'T become a killer game like Max Payne or Manhunt!

I'm pretty sure that there won't be any mistakes in terms of the whole programming problems. BTW, why did you want Konami to make KND? For me, I would've preferred Capcom or Sierra to make the KND game.

Calm down, James. I'm pretty sure that there won't be any mistakes in terms of the whole programming problems. You're right.. there's a 99% chance that the game won't be buggy. It happens, but it's extremely rare in console games. On the other hand, there's a 60% chance that the game won't even be worth playing. I wonder what system it's gonna be for? Because Konami made some fine games based on popular franchises... in fact they made some fine games in general. If they made a KND game that was anywhere near as good as their Ninja Turtles game for SNES (Or, even better, comparible to their Sega Genesis game Rocket Knight Adventures) then I'd be sold. Capcom is a good second, if you like fighting games (yea, I know they also do the Mega Man games, but fighting games have become their predominant genre). Sierra? Assuming we're thinking of the same Sierra here, the only way they could make a good game is if they did a King's Quest-style game, and they stopped making those a LOOOONG time ago (then again, there's Half-Life... but they only distributed that, they didn't make it).

GEt real!!!
They should have some kind of KND game where you pick on of the Numbuhs and each of them has like 100 different missions, but you have to complete some before you can do others. Also, there are secret levels, you can make your own levels, and more! Yes, you HAVE to be able to make your own levels for it to be a good game. It's in 3D, and you make your own KND and have him do the made up levels.
