Novel... as in, one you're going to try to have published? As in printed? Or do you mean like what I do, writing fiction you intend to put on the internet first?

The first one. I know it's kind of ambitous.

Yes, but ambitious is good! INDULGE THE AMBITION!
*Makes note to play Nobunaga's Ambition later*
Here be hoping it succeeds!

Thanks. I don't recognise the game you're referring to though.

Nobunaga's Ambition was a simulation game for the Nintendo (and a half a million other systems) based on Japan's Fuedal Period.

I've written many stories...but only a few really long ones...but right now I'm working on a script for a movie...I'll come back to that just now though...
One story was a class thing where we had to picture ourselves as an inanimate object and write our autobiography...I chose a tree that was turned into a small chair and a dressing table...the chair went to America...and the dressing table to Japan...heh heh...it was funny...
Back to my script...it was supposed to be about four teenage friends who have to come up with enough money for modelling school in LA (I don't know where they started off though) but then it completely changed around in scene 15...they uncovered the evil plans oh a serial killer...weird, huh? I dunno how it came into my head...

[...unWARP!]
Good evening.
I'm not sure if this counts:
I wrote a Rescue Ranger fanfic "Death of a Comedian" at the request of another CDRR fan. The original outline was only 2 pages long, but I then I heard one song, then another, then another....
The story ran away with me, and you can see the final results on Fanfiction.net
¡Zacatepóngolas!
Until next time, remember:

Good evening.

Someone really, really needs to revive the Original Fiction topic. This is more of a ramble than a weird way my story has gone, but I've hit a few snags in my original series Planet Erin. Seriously, it's like no matter what, I'm never satisfied with how those stories turn out. Recently I've thought of starting the story over from scratch, because there's ways its going now that I don't really like. In particular, I don't like the villains, who are basically two evil grown-ups who are chasing three kids for no particular reason. There's not really much of a direction or a conflict. I also don't really like how I burned so many bridges and drew too many connections in the first story--that is, the three Shadow Cloak Guild operatives are close friends, Mevos gets trapped in the temple (as evidenced by that he's not in the next story), and everyone who was left on Earth is absolutely dead. Another problem though is that the stories are supposed to be ones where I break the rules, and just totally abandon logic in favor of having fun. However, every time I try to write one, my mind just can't seem to handle that sort of anti-structure, unless I'm in a pretty jovial mood already. The story " Red Eyes" contains some perfect examples of what I'm going for: The main characters discover Grass is edible, that they are carrying an explosive battle top, and probably the most over-the-top fight scene in existence in which one of the main characters goes through floorboards and comes out not only fine, but finding a convenient tank as well (which he just happens to know how to drive even though he's like fourteen). Every time I write these stories though, my mind wants to try to rationalize everything, to make it make sense, when it's really not supposed to. Granted, there's a kinda pseudo-logic to the stories, but it's supposed to be a very flexible pseudo-logic, not hard and fast by any means. *Sighs* Any suggestions, anyone?

I think we should just have a writing topic.
I have that problem when writing. When roleplaying, I can write all sorts of illogical junk, but I can't seem to fo it anywhere else, even if I decide that I'll go back and edit it later. It's really annoying.

I think we should just have a forum section dedicated to original stories. Back when I was in the Rescue Rangers fandom, all my stories were absolute nonsense. It almost makes me wish I could write like that again *Sigh*.
