Found it on the CN schedule this morning. Also, they're rerunning ZERO yet again (12:30 PM), then a mini-marathon after it...then no KND for 2 whole weeks. Yes, indeed (borrowing AGB's phrase), "Kids Next Who?" Showing a Scooby Doo all-day marathon is more important to CN. (They ran Scooby Doo Where Are You? all day last Sunday, I think it was? That show premiered in 1969, folks! It's older than ME!!! )

Thanks Madame Hoagie's Gal, I've been sweating my approach to the dark side of thirty, so now I feel a lot better.
At any rate, I'd say the sad fact of the matter is that KND is nearly 5 years old now. In the terms of a modern children's cartoon, it's moved past ancient and is now borderline prehistoric. The show no longer seems to fit in with the audience that CN is catering to, hence the show is beginning to all but disappear from its lineup. The remaining episodes will no doubt air simply because CN paid for them, but I would not be surprised if other episodes are held back and eventually fired off all at once along with INTERVIEWS sometime around the Thanksgiving season just to send the show packing in one fell swoop.
Personally, I feel it's a sad state of affairs. But I've become disenfranchised with the programming on Cartoon Network for awhile now. To think, a year ago, Operation: Z.E.R.O. was a huge event on CN. Now that the show is ending, it's barely even a blip on their radar. What a difference a year can make.

CN has really weird ideas about programming, from what I've seen. Scooby Doo, as long as he's been around (38 years!), is still recognizable to today's kids, because of the live-action movies (which were awful) and the recent animated movies/series. CN thinks there's no place for an only FIVE year old show on their schedule because the kids who started watching KND back in 2002 are teens now, and we all know CN doesn't pay attention to what that age group watches. That still doesn't explain Scooby Doo, but I don't think like a CN executive. Who knows how those clods think? (Come to think of it, they made a bigger deal over Scooby Doo then the recent Ben 10 movie...) You're right about how they're airing the rest of KND. The rest of Season Six, the crossover (I'm really looking forward to that), and INTERVIEWS are airing in October/November. And TV Guide mentioned all of this in their fall specials guide...so that's something, even if CN doesn't think so.

I just wish that there was a greater lament about the way the show is being handled nowadays. It's really sad to say such a classic series with so much charm being treated in this manner. I haven't been paying attention to network politics, but it's curious to me that CN ordered the sixth season and the crossover when it's becoming increasingly clear that they no longer consider the KND series to be a viable part of their lineup since it's been completely pulled. My gut feeling tells me that there has been a shift either in policies or in those that make them over at CN, but I'm nt up on the scuttlebutt as far as that goes. Ah well, we can't really stop them from cleaning house, but we can each do a part to make sure that the final batch of episodes gets strong fan support!

Even though I saw both eps a while ago, I got to tape them. Woo! CN didn't even bother to show ANY promos! They were too busy overhyping this "Fried Dynamite" and "Out of Jimmy's Head" nonsense that they're (seemingly) putting high hopes on... I was annoyed for the people who MIGHT have wanted to see these eps, but don't come here and don't read the KND Blog...how were they supposed to know it was on? Telepathy? I really wish CN would stop treating KND like it's yesterday's leftovers. After all, it WAS CN's top rated show for a while. Even though the show IS ending in about two months, give it a nice sendoff, k?

@madame Hoagie's Gal:
Yeah you're right, if I didn't look at my DirecTV Program Guide to randomly see what's coming on CN Fridays, I would never have known that it was showing PLANET/DOGHOUSE. I've already seen it on youtube, but still.
I wish to make a rant about the sudden rise of (crappy) live-action on Cartoon Network. But I'll save that for another thread and when I have the time and the words to form.

I am absolutely dreading "Out of Jimmy's Brain." The movie was a homeless man's Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and seeing those annoying-as-hell characters (both the cartoons and the live actors) week in and week out makes me want to gag.

@live action (I can take this off-topic 'cause I started it ) Yeah, I pop onto Toon Zone every once in a while, and this is a BIG problem with many of the people that post there. Cartoon Network's "purpose" has morphed so many times, it's nuts...the original purpose being a dumping ground for the old HB cartoons. Then they added their own original programming about 5 years later (1997). I honestly think the original purpose got boring after a while. IMHO, you can only watch so much of Boomerang before your head spins. A lot of those cartoons didn't last more than one season (between 13 and 20 eps), and who wants to see the same small number of eps shown over and over and over...? BUT if you're going to call your network the CARTOON network, shitty live action has no place in the lineup. Whoever's running the network is trying to compete with Nick and Disney, and their new direction just plain stinks. The whole problem with older cartoon fans ranting about this stuff is, once again, those CN execs. They don't care about teen or adult opinions. That's not the demographic (fancy ass marketing terminology ) they're trying to reach! It's all about advertising and catering to the 6-11 age group to get ratings, which = more advertising $$$. Ridiculous way to view it, but I'm not an executive, and I don't look at cartoons as money-making machines. All executives look at is if it'll sell, sell, sell. Yawn.

They also are going to show a Ben 10 live-action movie. Um, what?

Whoever is in charge of the programming over at cartoon network needs to have an old adage stamped onto his or her forehead--"Just because you can do something doesn't mean that you should.
The network is devolving into an absolute mess, a mess which KND will make a hasty, and likely forgettable exit from. If things continue as they are, the airing of the last episodes of KND will be less and less of a major event and more of a "Are you still here?" footnote in CN history.

Okay, so at least I know I'm not the only one who noticed how stupid CN is being. The other day, when PLANET/DOGHOUSE aired, I had just come home (it was like 10 pm or something) and I check my guide to see what's on, so I saw that KND was on, and I flipped it to Cartoon Network to see that DOGHOUSE was playing, and I freaked out. I had forgotten that it was supposed to air that day, since there wasn't any promos. All the promos I saw on CN were for "Fried Dynamite" and "Out of Jimmy's Head." And why would a channel called CARTOON Network have live-action shows, I'd like to know. I think it's a pity that KND is going to end in this mess.

Let's not forget that there was supposed to be KND marathon today, but instead CN showed old episodes of Courage The Cowardly Dog. I feel so sorry for KND, this is just wrong. Why must the show's last episodes be reduced to this kind of treatment. I was annoyed, now I'm getting angry.

It's a chicken-and-egg dilemma: Is CN giving up on promoting KND because kids aren't watching it anymore, or have kids stopped watching it because CN isn't bothering to promote it?

the only way I see us seeing the last episodes without missing some, is if we season pass it on tivo and it's very upsetting for the people without tivo.
I flipped the channel and I had to hit that button pretty fast, I didn't know it was on either.
AND DID ANYONE NOTICE THAT STUPID SHOW BLOCKED US FROM SEEING THE PLANET CREDITS AT THE END?! IT LOOKED SO FUNNY TOTALLY UNFAIR! T_T Numbuh Four was crying hystericly and Numbuh Three was amused and I don't know why! that's SO unfair it's not everyday you see that on knd! XD
I think Mr. W knows it too, I mean PLANET DID air before and he wasn't even told about it, he'd know they're mistreating it, if the CREATOR doesn't even know when his CREATION TV SHOW is on and he doesn't even know it that's just more proof.
those people are sinking lower and lower, first off what the heck in "My Gym Partner IS A Monkey" then they add "Camp Lazlo" no offense to the likers of the show, but the cartoon's plots just seem to be put together at the last minute, I mean there is SO much crude humor too and man it's hard to watch for more then five seconds. (no offense just my opinion k ^^)
and then to top it off they're not showing new episodes till TWO MONTHS from now and we have to wait ANOTHER MONTH for operation interviews, WHO SHOWS 1 NEW EPISODE TO FILL FOR AN ENTIRE MONTH? T____T
(by the way I'm not shouting with the caps I'm reporting in to you but underlining, I don't know how to underline so I use caps I'm not shouting ^^)
what happened to the golden years of CN? where Dexter's Lab was always on and you could see NEW episodes of things and know when it would be on, the Powerpuff girls and johnny bravo and KND and all those golden award winning shows, they weren't perfect but at least they had a lot of work into them.
now I truly feel Fosters Home is the only thing watchable, and even THAT I have not heard much from recently.
CN is sinking, but at least we can make sure Mr. W will still have some fans that actually see his awesome show! even if we're not CN's ideal age group *sighs*
anyway my opinion ^_^ we will not let KND die in vain even if we have to watch every last episode to catch the new ones ^_^
