Did anyone see this show? I didn't even see 5 minutes. What did you think?

Hmm.....Ami sounds like Jenny from My Life As A Teenage Robot. (I was switching between the two shows at the time and they sound really similar)

Janice Kawaye, who plays as Jenny, does the voice for Ami. And no, I haven't watched it yet, and I don't really plan too. It just doesn't catch my interest.

I was curious, because I really like that group as far as J-Pop goes, but I was a bit dissapointed by it. It just seemed to... childish, even for me. Then again, I never care much for stuff from Japan that is dubbed, cut, edited, and torn to pieces. America really butchers Anime, hence why I only get my stuff frlom Japan that had English subtitles. So yea, I didn't care much for it. For a show from Japan, the animation was bad, and just seemed to... childish for me.
What I did like was when the girls woudl sing in Japanese. That was the only good thing about it. =)

Ehhh...I think I'll stick to Puffy AmiYumi being a cool J-pop group, not a TV show.

It would be better with Ami and Yumi do the voice of themselves. In Japan. I like this show, it's funny with humor and running gags. The two episodes that I like are Collect All 5 and Ninjcompoop. Well the animation is like a paper but with animation like. No south-park like but made out of drawings. *Singing the theme song with punkish arrangement*

It's a completely american show, made by americans for americans. The creator heard their songs and really liked them, so he approached the real Puffy for permission. And they said yes. *cough* For more details, I suggest you read the same New York Times article I did. ^___~ Personally, I thought it was cute. Not great, but amusing. Certainly better then a lot of shows out there, anyway. And it was nice and shiny. @__@;;

Well, it's free to join up on the website, but I don't know if you'll find it there -- my dad buys the actual, um, newspaper religiously, I found it there. It was actually a pretty interesting article, actually, and yeah -- completely american in origion.
