Mmmmm, One Piece. ^_^ I started reading and watching that nearly three years ago, back before it was even being released in the american Shounen Jump. I've been out of the loop for a little while, but now aren't they up to episode 250 or something in Japan? Can I get a "wow" from anyone? ^^ But concerning the dub airing on TV right now... God. What 4 Kids did to what was formerly a great, funny, and amusing series is nothing short of a travesty. The bad voice acting was to be expected of course (though you'd think they'd have made ~some effort to match a character up with his or her correct voice). However, deliberately changing the animation and the script to make it more "kid friendly" is simply over the line. Not only is it insulting to those who know the real storyline, but it mows down the humor as well. (I actually have a OP site as well. ^^; It hasn't been updated in forever, but it's got a gigantic gallery and other random stuff: Lost at Sea.) |

The English dub theme song is annoying and gets stuck in my head far too often. I really wish the CN here wouldn't use it as the entire ad.

Yes, I have been reading the fansubs over the internet, and yes One Piece is still as good as ever. Each week I wait for the next chapter to come out, and then I wait even longer for the translation! In between I preoccupy myself by buying the officially english dubbed manga (volume 7 comes out in July!) |

I wish Funimation would have work on One Piece. DBZ is made by Toei Animation and so is One Piece. I only like One Piece if it's uncut.
4kids sucks ass out of me. Even now YUGIOH has bad dubbings, so is this anime. What else? Some voice directors of One Piece and YUGIOH are insulting the Japaneses' work. They'll be screwed in a heartbeat.
Even when Tokyocrap butchered Initial D, this is why I'm starting to hate hip-hop and rock music on the Import Street Racing Scene and causes bad reputation to it. You better stick it to the classic version. I think it's kinda extended and it has Super Eurobeat.
