Maybe it was'nt a good episode. And it also depends of the persons: some people like One Piece (or anything else), some others don't... I know I definitly like it. XD

Finally! Somebody who loves this series too! You're not alone Roxanne, I too love the One Piece series. Although I'm more of a fan of the manga rather than the anime. To those of you who claim to not like the anime, well of course you don't like it because the English dubbed One Piece anime is an ABOMINATION! Distributed by 4kids no less, they have completely ruined for us the awesome anime that is One Piece. In reality both the One Piece anime and manga (in Japan anyway) are very well written and developed stories, with great humor, tons of action (that does include blood), and very compelling characters. The English dubbed One Piece manga however is not so bad (except they're going to call Zoro "Zolo") and IMO is worth buying (I have volumes 1-3). If anyone is interested in reading the One Piece manga and learning more about this fantastic story go to groups.msn.com/OnePieceManga/home.htm Trust me, you won't regret it! |

YAY! ;D A One Piece fan!! *hugs* It's good to know someone also likes it! I think I also prefer the manga then the anime. I have volumes 1 to 17 of the manga. One Piece does'nt air on cartoon network where I live, but I see it in french, on an anime channel. I think their voices are good. I've never seen it in english but I don't think Zolo sounds good  . In the french version, Zoro is called Zokko... |

You're up to volume 17?! And you live in France?! Jeez, we're only up to like volume 6 here in America! And I'm still only up to volume 3!
Well I'm sure the anime in France is better than it is here in America, because you really can't get any lower than what it is here, because its been dubbed by 4shame (the actual name of the company is 4kids, but it may as well be named 4shame). The dialogue is cheesy, all the blood and violence is cut out, and many key plot points have been edited.
The worst part is what they did to Sanji. First they gave him a deep, macho, Italian accent, which doesn't fit his character at all. And instead of him smoking a cigarette (which is not "kid friendly"), they gave him a damn lollipop!
And you're right, "Zolo" is not a good name at all. Zoro, and only Zoro, is the best name! (Zokko sounds a bit odd). Well at least I have the fansubs.
My fav character is Sanji, how 'bout you?

No cable? Well that stinks. But actually I don't think you need cable to watch One Piece. It should come on Fox on Saturday mornings at 11:00 AM (Although the time and channel may differ depending on where you live) But then again, why WOULD you wanna watch it?

I don't live in France, I just buy the books in French. In fact, the books are up to 27 I think. My favorite character is Sanji <3 He's.... just.....sooo...... hot!! ^^ *goes crazy about him* hum sorry... He fights good, and cooks good. I also like Nami because all she did to her village, etc, I like Zoro because he fights good with sords, he's very resitant, Luffy, he's funny, Usop (in french, Usop is called Pipo, because pipeau means lie -__-;  he's... funny too, always liying. Oh, and I also like Shanks (yep, is hot too ^^). But I still prefer Sanji more then them! Haaaa, One Piece is great! ^^ |

Oh, okay. So you can read French? That's cool. But as for me, I guess I'll just be patient and wait for the English dubbed One Piece to come out (and read the fansub in the mean time).
Yeah, I think all the characters are great, but I like Sanji most, 'cause he's funny, perverted, and overall really cool. He also kicks an insane amount of ass (literally). Zoro's cool because he's so tough, Nami 'cause she's so greedy yet has a lot of emotional drama, Usopp 'cause he's funny, Tony Tony Chopper 'cause he's funny and kicks some ass, Nico Robin 'cause she's so mysterious, and of course Luffy 'cause he's so funny and yet kicks a huge amount of ass!

Yeah, I speak and read French since a go to a French school...
All the characters are just great. I also like Nami's half sister Nojiko, her tatoo's are cool.
Eichiro Oda has really great talents.
