Heh, I guess I'm just lucky that Inu-Yasha is the main anime I'm watching right now. Don't get me wrong, I do like other kinds of anime but its easier for me just to focus on one at a time.

As for Lupin I've never seen it. And what I heard about it from my friends isn't too flattering. But I have seen Ranma 1/2. Thats what got me into Takahashi's works in the first place. ^^

Each person has their own opinions. But Lupin
must have SOME quality--He's to Japan what
Scooby Doo is to America.

What usually happens is that they go in, then are
shocked that Lupin is not some modern show
but rather was made in the 1970s. The English
dub I have some qualms with too--half the times
the characters utter a cussword, I get the
feeling it was added in just for the dub. Not
to mention they made Lupin's sexual advances
much more straightforward.

Anyway, the anime is rather humorous, like some
uncommonly good mix of James Bond and a Road
Runner cartoon. Though mostly I admire the
Lupin character himself (Why do you think he's
my avatar? ^__^).

I could go on forever about Lupin, but then I'd
miss tonight's new KND. See ya.

Hmm... I'm not really into older animes but that does sound a little interesting... But I'll probably never have a chance to see it, so I guess it doesn't really matter.

DVDs are available. I'd recommend at least
renting the first DVD (which is titled "The
World's Most Wanted" or something like that).

I've also heard that the Lupin movie "The
Castle of Cagliostro" has gone on to be
considered not just a classic of Lupin, but
a classic of anime, period (perhaps no surprise
that it's a Miyazaki film). A lot of people rave
about that film's climax--a battle inside a clock
tower--and compare it to the scene in Disney's
"The Great Mouse Detective." Unfortunately I
have yet to see this movie myself (Castle, I
mean), though though it's available domestically
on DVD with both a dub and subtitle option.

The TV series occasionally plays on Cartoon
Network, as well.

Hm..... I might be able to get my hands on the dvd if I really tried. As for seeing it on Cartoon network I dont think thats possible because the only time I get to see anything on CN its at my friends house. And shes the one who doesn't like lupin in the first place.
