Which covers of songs, if any, do you think were better than the original version? Some of the superior versions for me include:
Knockin' on Heaven's Door-Guns n' Roses (original by Bob Dylan)
All Along the Watchtower-Jimi Hendrix (original by Bob Dylan)
With a Little Help from my Friends-Joe Cocker (original by the Beatles)
You Really Got Me-Van Halen (original by the Kinks)
Take on Me-Reel Big Fish (original by A-Ha)
Wild Thing-Jimi Hendrix (original by the Troggs)
Spoonful-Cream (original by Howlin' Wolf)
Back Door Man-The Doors (original by Howlin' Wolf)

I have to admit, I like A*Teens' version of Dancing Queen better than Abba's.

I remember there are some, but I could not remember the names. But a parody like Weird Al's always do, such as his "Do I creep you out" over the original "Do I make you proud".

"Rebel Yell"-HIM (original by Billy Idol) Link to HIM's -> www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tmjs9Zeedkw :3 Ok, for one, i LIKE Billy Idol; I just think HIM's version of the song sounds better than his voice on it. Billy's voice is a bit too.. er..high? for my liking on that song. thats all. Oh yeah, and Ville rocks ;D hahaha. xD & "Wicked Game"-HIM (original by Chris Isaak) Link to HIM's -> www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WA2jBMk-Pk..I hate Chris Isaak or however you spell his name. HIM are way better :'DD haha. xD & "Don't Fear The Reaper"-HIM (original by Blue Oyster Cult) Link to HIM's -> www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bQAV5Pr_egI just don't like BOC's version.. I never liked that kind of music. I really love HIM's version though of course :3 *<3's Ville*

Noooo! I was gonna say Hendrix's version of 'All Along the Watchtower', but it's already been said! xDD nvm, I'll say 'Hey Joe' by Love. I don't think I've even heard the original, but because I love Love so much (haha) I'll think their version is the best anyway

Some remakes of Disney songs are kind of fun. Vanessa William's "Colors of the Wind," strangely enough, I find to be better than the version sung in Pocahontas. Though I really didn't like the version by Vanessa Hudgens.
"Car Wash" by Christina Agulara (Original: Rose Royce)

Not really a cover, per say, but I sure liked the the Back To THe Future version of "Earth Angel" better than the original by the Penguins.

Although I like both versions, I prefer Sarah Brightman's cover of "Murder in Mairyland Park" to the original by Stina Nordenstam. She sings it with a bit more enthusiasm in her voice, I think, and the music section at the end is better in her version.
