*spoiler safe!* okay, midnight show. yeah. but anyway, the movie was okay. thought they left out some important stuff (being a maurader fangirl, one wants NOTHING cut) and as usually were very in-your-face-look-at-our-special-effects.
BUT
i know some people on this board like remus/sirius, yeah? well, i know movieverse isn't quite canon... but if it was, r/s is now totally and completely canonized. they *added* a slashy scene.

THEY ADDED A SLASHY SCENE!!!?? *gets on her knees and starts praising the Slash God* Thank you~ Yeah, I'm a MWPP fangirl, too. Obsessively so. You should SEE all the fanart I've collected. ;; Must - see - PoA! Even Sirius and Remus do look like Saddam Hussein and Hitler.

Nooo, you *had* to make that Hitler remark! Now I won't be able to think of anything else when I watch it... gah... In any case, as a further note of intrest, in an interview with Rowling it was said that (paraphrased) "when there's a scene that doesn't seem to fit into the plot of the movie, then it's foreshadowing for the book." I haven't seen the movie, so I can't tell if the scene is filler, but if it WAS then there's a VERY good chance that bookverse slash is canon, too. So there's my tidbit.

bookverse slash *is* cannon, at least sb/rl. fifth book, anyone?
but yeah. the slasher in me was really happy, but the mwpp-fangirl in me was saddened. you'll understand when you see.

*dances* I just came back from seeing it!! Loved the Sirius/Remus slashiness! ;D ;D ;D
And even though there was a lot of Ron/Hermione (*gags*), I still came across some Harry/Hermione and Harry/Ron, so it's all good!

*Dies of the R/Hr-ness*

Or something like that.......

JUST saw it and holy <censored>, I loved it!!!!! The R/Hr was marvelous (cute but not overdone) and Buckbeak lookaing amazing. Harry wasn't a prat (that much) and that one Ron line (yes, the tapdancing spiders one) kept me laughing for several minutes. For nitpicks, highlight below: There will be what some consider spoilers so don't look if you don't want to know. <SPOILER>But where, oh where, was the MWPP. We learn nothing about them in this movie. *sniff* But <fangirl> SiriusxRemus </fangirl>! It was SOOOOOO there!!! (people who saw the movie, you know what I'm talking about.) It's so canon now. It has to be. Or I'll be a saaaaaaaad fangirl. But wait - Remus is more than a head taller than Sirius? WTF was that? I kinda imagined it the other way around. And Remmy's voice was....er....a tad annoying. And they're both still fugly. *CRI* Sirius looks like a demented clown. And that was one non-hardcore werewolf. It was like...a werewolf geek. The one all the other werewolf kids pick on. Did it even look like a wolf? I want it FURRY with a TAIL. Is that too much to ask? Padfoot was one small-ass "giant, bearlike" black dog. Do I need to tell you how disturbing Peter is? No? Okay, then. Moving on. Funniest part (which really had nothin' to do with the movie) Remus: Here, have some chocolate, it really helps. *for about the 5th time* Guy sitting next to me: Dammit, you're gonna make Harry fat. And I couldn't stop laughing, even tho it was a poignant moment. Oh well. </SPOILER>A penny for my thoughts.

JUST SAW IT!!!
The part where Hermione punched Malfoy THE WHOLE THEATER APPLAUDED IT WAS SO COOL!!!!!
The part where Harry said "You tell those spiders Ron" THE WHOLE THEATER laughed!!!
It was almost as cool as when DRAGON came in in Shrek 2 or when Gingy said "It's a thong" in Shrek 2!!

Wow, you and Sam have nice cinemas (apparently, all of her cinema laughed in a R/Hr bit) The cinema I was in didn't laugh ONE BIT at the Tapdancing Spider bit, (Instead they found the spider with roller skates HILARIOUS compared to that ), a little boy cried "What a wimp!" when Draco got punched. Basicly, very stupid audience. Is it just me, or did the twins look about 18?

Haha...the Twins would finish each others lines and speak at the same time. But now they look odd. Meh. Ahaha....the Ron's spider dream. The entire theater was laughing. And everytime Draco cringed, whined, complained, looked pissy, or got punched: Audience: Suck it up, Draco, you pansy. 'Twas awesome. Tom Felton got uglee.

Spoiling Programs Often Instigates Lynching - Especially Revealing Secrets (Sorry, , I felt like being creative) As a movie all by itself, Prisoner of Azkaban was a very nice film. I especially enjoyed the whole sequence with the Time Turner. The Knight Bus was fun too. They also did Buckbeak the Hippogriff nicely, I thought. When I compare it to the book, however, I found it to be somewhat disappointing. It wasn't exactly that the book was better, it was mostly that this movie was based on it, yet a lot of things from the book got left out. It's mostly minor stuff, things that were probably removed for the sake of time and/or because they weren't integral to the plot. Stuff such as the identities of Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs. Or the full story of Sirius' alleged betrayal involving the Fidelius Charm. As well ast he fact he was in Azkaban for the murder of Peter Pettigrew and twelve unlucky Muggle bystanders that happened to be nearby. Little things. But, in my case, I like the little things. So, with that in mind, I found Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban to be a bit disappointing in that regard. Good movie, unless you read the book. But that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

I thought they did Buckbeak really well, too.
