I've been thinking about this for a while. The adults call full scale war against kids, World War III. The world is split into two parts: Over 18 and Under 18. The teenagers are betrayed when the world is split and forced to fight for the Kids Next Door, now called the Kids Republic, which is officially formed of three parts: The KRA (Kids Repuplic Army, kids who weren't in the KND in the first place), the KND (the Kids Next Door, kids who were already in it before the war), and the Special Ops (teenagers).
The adults have access to nuclear warfare, and it is used to attack the Kids Republic side of The Great Boundary. (The Great Boundary is the neutral territory where prisoners are held, exchanges are performed, and it splits the two sides of the world) When this happens, the guard to the Kids Republic is weak, and the adults begin moving in to attack the KR capital: New York City.
When the adults begin to attack NYC, a special group of the KND is called into action to fight along side the Special Ops and the KND: The KND Elite. The KND Elite include Sectors X (Moon Base), Q (Maui), R (Egypt), and of course, Sector V. (Notice the KRA isn't involved in the NYC battle: they're busy destroying the territories of the adults on The Great Boundary [the adult side of the world is called the United Territories of the Adults])
In the battle for NYC, there are several casualties, and one casualty really hits home for our favorite sector, which is the focus of the story from this point onward. NYC is still the territory of the Kids Republic at the end, but that isn't enough to pay for what happened.
Soon after, the battles pick up, and one of Sector V's own is captured and sent to The Great Boundary to be detained in the adult's central war prison.
After the loss of two team members, Tommy is recommissioned and put on Sector V, along with Mushi, who is recruited to the KND because of expert service in the KRA.
A teenager is then unanimously elected as the President of the Kids Republic, Brendan Nevins, mostly because of his renouned "We Must Rely On Eachother" speech made during the debates.
And that's all I've thought of up until now. Actually, I only gave you some of it, I want the rest to be a surprise. I just wanted some input on the storyline before I got to writing it. Thanks!
