So anybody who remembers me might know that I've been trying to get attention for my KND fanfics for about three years now, with limited success. I fully expect in twenty years to be a bum on the street trying to pawn Operation: T.A.M.I.N.G. off on people for crack money. But now I think I've found a good way for me to get some good readership. And perhaps, a good way for all KND fans to both give and receive in the fandom.
...Welcome to the KND Review Game! Participation in the game goes like this:
User 1 says: Review "Operation: TOENAIL."
User 2 says: Ok, I reviewed it. So can the next person please review "Wally Kuki 4evur" or "Teenage Death Fic"?
User 3 says: Done (I did "Teenage Death Fic"), so can the next person review "Tiresome Advent Children Crossover"? Thanks.
And so on and so forth.
Here are the rules of the game (most of these were stolen or modified from The Review Game at FictionPress.Com)
1) If the story is on FanFiction.Net, use the review function provided there. If the story is in a thread on this forum, then leave a review in that thread.
2) You may enter The Game how many times as you'd like, even if it's the same story over and over again. (you know I'll fall into this catagory) But you can't make two posts containing your stories (or other people's stories) at the same time without someone else having posted in the in-between. Reviewing yourself doesn't count.
3) About reviewing: *you* must review the person above your future post *before* posting (the most recent post, so to speak). Thus you have earned yourself a review. Aka, before Person 2 can post, he had to review Person 1 first. To see how a review should be constructed, view Rule 12.
4) In your post, state what story you want reviewed. Poetry is allowed as well, as long as it's clearly KND poetry.
5) Keep the unnecessary posts here at a minimum. It needs to be to be clear who is supposed to read what story, and unnecessary posts dilute that. For discussion and questions, send me a PM. But don't post the question here. This place needs to be "clean".
6) If the story above yours has multiple chapters, you are only obliged to leave one review. (If you do decide to leave only one chapter, I'd say that it would probably be nice if you make that one review for the story as a whole.) Of course, going above one review is not discouraged, either.
7) There is no obligation to review the person that reviewed you. The only person you must review is the latest addition. Feel free to return the favor it you want to, but that counts as business outside of the KND Review Game.
8) You are allowed to leave several suggestions in your own post for a story of yours the person after can review. *But* the person after you is still only obliged to leave one review on whichever story they choose from your selected ones.
Also, you are allowed to leave a story *not* your own as the one to be reviewed, if perhaps for a friend that you know wants some feedback.
9) If you have already reviewed the above story, *prior* to this challenge (or have promised to review it, *prior* to this challenge), you can not use that as a free pass. That is cheating. You may ignore others user that do that, and thus not leave them a review (instead, you should review the person that was not originally reviewed).
Exception of that rule: *However*, if you have not reviewed all chapters, you *are* allowed to review one of those un-reviewed, thus legally earning yourself a position in the game (ie, out of a 4 chapter story, you had only reviewed 2 chapters. If you now review the 3rd one due to wanting to enter The Game, you have left the mandatory review and you're thus all set) Again, I repeat, this does not count for those that have made prior promises to review all/certain chapters before committing to The Game.
11) Should it be, that in the rare case of two or more people reviewing your story (and posting), the person that got reviewed multiple times will review back. So, if two reviewed the same story, the author will review to the first of the two that posted. The last one is to be treated like a normal poster that is to be reviewed by a new one.
Example: User A posts. User B reads, reviews and posts, shortly followed by User C (that reviews A's story too). User A will then review B back, and C will be treated like any normal participant, since he was last.
12) The review you leave must be an actual review. "Update!" / "It was cool, I guess." / "Whoa, I'm like, so scared!" and such are not good enough to stand on their own as reviews. If you leave such a review, the person after you may ignore your post, and review the one you were supposed to properly review. Note that no one is requiring a bunch of concrit in the review to be said. Just try to bring up some points on the story. (Minimum is three *separate* sentences concerning the story- content, writing, execution, whatever)

Following from this starting post, anyone can take the first position here. As a first position, you have no one above to review you. Which means, you get a free review.
Does everyone understand? If not, remember to send me a PM instead of cluttering up the thread. If there are a lot of PMs sent to me, I may make an additional topic for the sole purpose of questions about the KND Review Game.
Let's get started.
