I've been batting around a story diea in my head for some time, with the premise being Dectetive Hoagie on another case, this time with Laura Limpin as his girl friday. Once again, Hoagie will be slapping around the suspects, but now with Laura, they can play bad cop/good cop.
Big Badolescent: "YOU SQUEAL! STOOL PIGEON! NOW!!!"
Suspect: "Oh help me!"
Hoagie: "I don't know how long I can hold off my friend here. Tell me what you know, and I can protect you."
The plot will revolve around two of those ink-dye squirt guns that are supposed to wash out of clothes but don't, only these two guns are special in that they permenentely stain skin instead of just clothes. (the two guns are called "Jet Black" and "White Out") They would be some hard-boiled detective stuff, some shootouts, and a brawl in a root beer bar. The twist at the end is that Laura herself turns out to be the culpret to some degree. But that's okay, since this was part of a big birthday mystery surprise for Hoagie.
I haven't figured in all the elements of the mystery, but I've got the ending all planned out. Hoagie and Laura are all ready to have their romantic moment, then Fanny comes barreling in, busting Hoagie's chops as usual. Hoagie replies to this: "Do you mind? We're kinda in the middle of something here." Fanny persists, and Laura just tosses her out the window. The two then continue with their romantic moment, with cheesy saxaphone music playing in the background.
