Q: Is it true that there will be a collaboration between KND and
another cartoon show? If it is, will it be an episode, or is it just a
few minutes short?
A: yup... one of the specials is a crossover with billy and mandy!
Q: The Sector V character designs and personalities are really
interesting… Where did you base them on? Were they based on
real-life people? (Or maybe things that you’re familiar with?)
A: no, the KND aren't really based on real people (although i'd like to think there's a piece of me in each of them). but they are
based on certain archetypes (the fearless leader, the tough guy,
etc). the great thing about having so many episodes is that you
get to explore those characters to find what the fearless leader
is scared of, how the tough guy is weak, etc.
Q: Where did you get the idea of making “Codename: Kids Next
Door”? Was it just an “AHA!” moment, or was it carefully thought
out?
A: the KND were actually kids from another show i pitched
called 'kenny and the chimp'. they were the KIDS who lived NEXT
DOOR to kenny (wow... real brilliant, huh?) they weren't about
battling adult tyranny back then but once i decided to develop
them into a show it kind of came around to that.
Q: Do you get a lot of “Who’ll kiss who in the movie…” questions?
A: if by a lot you mean i've been asked eleventy billion and three
times... then the answer is yes.
Q: Will Numbuh 2’s dad ever make an appearance in the next
season? (What happened to him, anyway? How come he’s never
around?) Or is any member of the Gilligan family gonna be
featured soon?
A: no one knows if hoagie senior is gonna show his face. but you
never know! and there's definitely some more gilligan family
coming up in future episodes.
Q: Will we get to see more of Professor Triple X-tra Large’s
perfect sno-cone hunting antics in the next season?
A: the search for the perfect sno-cone never stops and neither
does the professor!
Q: Since A.R.C.H.I.V.E. was just Numbuh 1’s overactive
imagination, what really started the KND organization? Who
made it, and where is he/she now?
A: you'd probably have to read the book of KND to find out. but
good luck finding it!

Q: The premiere of Op. ZERO, will it be woldwide?? You see, I live
in the Philippines and I'm since pretty sure that we don't
even have season 5 yet, the KND movie will probably come out
later here than the US release. I just wanted clarification so I
wouldn't get my hopes up...
(And, uh.... Will ZERO come out soon in Asia after the US release?)
A: no, the premiere won't be worldwide... we tried, but UK
channel said that a good part of europe shuts down in august
and they wanted to wait to premiere it when more folks would
be around. as for asia... i have no idea. but i'll keep my ears open
and my fingers crossed for ya.
Q: When it was said that Numbuh Zero was the BEST KND
MEMBER EVUH, did that mean that he was an older member of he
organiztion? Is he an adult now??
A: well, since he was decommissioned we know he's over the
age of 13.
Q: What simian family does the Rainbow Monkeys belong to?
A: Ohsovereeroundus Simianatus
Q: Umm... seeing as you confirmed my suspision of a KND/Billy
and Mandy crossover special, how are you connected to Maxwell
Atoms?
A: when we were babies, maxwell atoms and i were found in the
wilderness being raised by ninja chimpmunks. he was adopted
by a family on the west coast and me on the east coast and only
recently did we find out we were brothers. and it's kind of in the
rules that ninja chimpmunk brothers make a cartoon together.
the rest is history.
Q: Where'd you get the idea of using 2x4 for things like weapons
and stuff (cars, buildings, etc...)?
A: well, the KND design team is up at all hours of the night
welding, sautering, glueing, and nailing together whatever they
can get their hands on to see if it'll work for 2x4 technology.
they're truly brilliant (and imaginative) people.
