They DO work together and stuff.... and by the time numbuh 86's a teenager they'll probably start working together and everything.
Besides, Chad was the ONLY Kid Next Door she didn't berate for being a boy. There MIGHT be something.....

I definitely think Chad/86 is a possibility. Granted for the short time we saw them together before Chad turned traitor, she DID seem like she would've been just as harsh on him as on anyone else, but I felt like there could've been a vibe if things had turned out different.

I think she respected him while he was in KND, but she wasn't afraid to yell at him for his betrayal in END. I suppose it could still happen, though I must say ever since END I haven't really given this couple much thought. It crossed my mind when I saw FUGITIVE (86 seemed okay talking to him whereas she usually doesn't give boys as much respect), but that happened before Chad went evil.

Probably becuase he rank higher then her. I mean, if Numbuh 86 yells at her supieror, he probably cna de-rank her. Numbuh 86 doesn't seem to want to be de-ranked.

but wasnt he a supreme leader before he bretrayed them, so therefore 362 taking over? maybe thats why she gave him that kind of respect. sorry, but Chad/86? it may happen, but there are other possiblities that could happen before this.
in I.T im pretty sure Nigel did mention that 274 was a great leader, and when he left 362 was more than happy to take over form him, hence the way 86 talked to him in the manner she did.

Never thought of it before, honestly... but there's definitely an appeal to it.

Chad and Fanny? I find it . . .weird I think the one Fanny really respets was Rachel. She must've been obedient to Chad (before he became a traitor) because he was a supreme leader ^^; That's all.

As the official Biggest 86/274 Fan, I had to reply to this thread!
Here are my thoughts on the couple:
I was actually struck by Numbuh 86's LACK of respect toward Numbuh 274. In fact, after watching that episode, I assumed that Numbuh 362 (who Numbuh 86 as well as, perhaps, Numbuh 274, feared) was the supreme leader of the KND and that Numbuh 274 was a high-ranking officer, probably roughly equal in rank to Numbuh 86. Also supporting this idea was how Numbuh 86 was bragging (to Numbuh 274, I think) that Numbuh 362 was going to give her a big promotion.
The notion of Numbuh 274 as officer rather than leader led to a theory. Why did Numbuh 86 brag about her imminent promotion to Numbuh 274, as if he would care? The answer I came up with was that she viewed him as a rival, that 86 and 274 were both ambitious officers trying to climb up the chain of command, and that 86 was thus always trying to one-up 274. Rank and gender play an important role in this. Perhaps Numbuh 86 wanted to surpass Numbuh 274 so she could treat him like she does the guys in Sector V. Maybe she's peeved that such a non-competitive, non-driven guy can get so much fame and power, while she's working her butt off and barely gets any recognition. Maybe she hates him because he represents the advantage that guys have over girls in this sexist world. Maybe she obsesses about this. Maybe she hates him, but has to admit that he's on her mind a lot. As for him, maybe he's just there, wondering why Numbuh 86 has such a big grudge against him, no matter how pleasant he is to her.
I was seriously running away with this idea and gleefully building on it. Then came Op. END and the fact that Numbuh 274, not Numbuh 362, was the supreme leader of the KND. (At least I think it was Op. END... It might have been a slightly earlier episode.)
Notice that at the root of all my theories was my assumption that Numbuh 362 was the supreme leader, not Numbuh 274. This ruined all of my theories because they kind of needed that to work. I mean, there's just not as much competitive tension/rivalry between an officer and the head of command as there is between two officers who still have potential to rise in the KND's command system.
So yes, that's part of the reason why I disliked Op. END.
Since then, there hasn't really been much 86/274 evidence. I did squeal when they were... uh, in the same episode in Op. SLUMBER and had interaction. Woo! Actually, seriously, Chad acting as Numbuh 86's mother did put ideas into my mind... Heh...
And I too like how she stuttered at his name in Op. ZERO. ;D I'm so obsessed with this couple...
As an afternote, writing this really helped me understand why I like 86/274. I think it also explained why I like 60/86 as well - they still have potential to have competing-officer rivalry. I guess.
