but 70% of why i watch the show is for the cute little 10 years old's romance!!! The problem is that the romance isn't "cute" (at least, IMO). It's annoying, and moreover, it's really badly handled. Just look at the end of Op. NAUGHTY. Was there any particular reason that only Wally could save Kuki? And why do Nigel, Abby, and Hoagie just silently accept this without arguement? Why don't THEY care about Kuki? Seriously, it's sad when the show itself follows the precedent established by fanfics like the afformentioned Operation: RAPED.

I mean the rest of them didn't bother to get Numbuh Three a present, so wouldn't it make sense if all four of them went and gave her a present, rather than just Numbuh Four?

(yay! my 400th post)

lol yes, your 400th post.. Operation: RAPE was over-done a little. your right, you cant really see that happening in the show. but again, people want to write their kinds of fics. and reviews are just opinions. i say at least cut the author some slack. they wrote what they had in mind, and its not right to judge. as for that Operation: NAUGHTY thing, yeah...those are some good points. but maybe its not only because they're planned out to like each other. maybe its because Kuki's gift to Wally was the best one, and she was mad that she spent so much time for Wally and he didn't give anything back. considerable...

I guess that make sense, but it still comes off as nothing but a bad attempt to spotlight the 3/4 romance. Especially with how often the show disregards the integrity of the characters and writing in order to shoehorn romance in. Sometimes I think the show is concerned more with who is in love with who rather than who the enemy is or what the KND are trying to accomplish (that is, when its not making movie parodies).

I enjoy romance as much as anyone else, but I would like to see more things on the show then just 3/4's (who I accualy like) "relationship".

What annoys me is that 3/4 "relationship" has been nothing but mindless blushing, hugging, and Soap Opera -like drama. *beaten by 3/4 obsessers*

i agree with digigirl02! there has to be more than just 3/4. i mean, there's not even as much 1/lizzie, and their, like, official! i still like the couple, and i will never stop loving it but its a little too much! but the couples that i hate most are...hm...all the ones that are not on my favorites list. ;D

Here's something that's been bugging me, was it 1/Lizzie and LIZZIE that started all this couple battling and Lizzie hating in the firts place? Like this was the first bit of real romance in the show, and it might have been what gotten everything started.

Like this was the first bit of real romance in the show, and it might have been what gotten everything started. Yea, you're right. LIZZIE rubbed a lot of people the wrong way and a lot of people didn't really accept 1/Lizzie until season two, where she got more development. It's like every time the writers try to do romance, people hate it. Personally I have two other theories on that. First off, KND is a show that I found similar to my own childhood fantasies. When I was a kid, I used to imagine myself being a member of a team of superheroes operating out of a treehouse, and I know that other kids had similar fantasies--me and my friends used to act these out on the playground. I imagine this is what drew a lot of us to KND--seeing our childhood fantasies come to life on screen. This may also be what repels us to romance, as many of us weren't thinking of it when we were ten and living in our own superhero fantasy worlds, so it seems like an intrusion. The second theory is just that the writers of the show are even less adept at handling romance than the writers of the Star Wars Prequels. Half the time, I feel like I'm watching an animated fanfic rather than something that's actually part of the show (they even used a Truth or Dare game in one episode.... which must've been an all-time low). 90% of the romance bits in this show seem like they were just tagged on at the last minute, and that's what annoys me and what I think probably annoys others too.

I actually liked that bit in NAUGHTY. I thought maybe Numbuh Three liked Nmuh Four back now, and that was why Numbuh Three liked his gift.

I'm starting to hate 1/5 too. The couple is just boring.
