I'm about of the opinion that, as far as KND is concerned, NO romance is necessary. Of course, I'm sure someone would disagree. ^__^ So THAT'S why you have "Primary supporter of Nigel/Kukiness the world over" in your personal text. =P

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain! *Tackleglomps Sammykins* ^__^ Seriously though... What I would like to see is a Romance fic that doesn't do the following: 1) Use angst as a crutch. I have never seen a truly lasting relationship be built out of pain and suffering, and being unable to confess your feelings for someone does NOT, in my experience, cause the kinds of feelings of despair I've seen people using in fanfics (I know, I've been there... more times than I'd like to admit). 2) Require the couple to go through some sort of trying experience (for example, Kuki getting kidnapped or nearly killed) for it to finally come about. While this is more down-to-Earth than using angst as a crutch, it's still overdone... when you've seen these kinds of plotlines on the Lifetime Network, you know its time to look for a new cliche.

Unless you're automatically classifying slash as something bad, something perverted and wrong...? Which would be pretty ignorant of you. xD Slash in other shows is interesting, it's fun seeing the original creator's reaction. *coughyujinakacough* But as Hoagiegal said, I also find KND/Child slash freaky and somewhat absurd.

but what would make the love? Well, classically, love is said to be the result of cupids that fire their arrows at people. Love is also said to be linked to flowers, the color red, and certain kinds of birds. Scientists today say that love is a chemical reaction. Personally, I'd believe in the Easter Bunny before putting any stock in this "all emotions are caused by chemicals in our brain" line of thinking. In writing, love and romance can be done in an unlimited number of ways. A boy asks his choice girl to the prom and the relationship spreads from there. A man who goes on an epic quest to prove his worth to his love. A girl and guy live in the same apartment and begin to become closer to each other. A guy who is initially attracted to a girl simply for her looks but then finds out he likes her for reasons that are so much deeper. A boy who is constantly teased by an annoying girl that he suddenly finds he has a soft spot for. These are just a few examples of how romance can be written without resorting to use of anxiety to further the emotion.

i kinda get where the "they're only ten year old coment" comes from, because in reality little kids don't .. really have or understand love the same way adults too
there is a possibility of homosexual relationship between children.. believe me, i had a little cousin.. who was.. lets say a little too curious for his own good.. but the relantionship is basically confusion and really isn't that deep (blame the cooties)
and about animals.. dog show dominance by um.. humping another dog because basically dogs have "NEEDS"... just like any other living creature on this earth.. love usually has nothing to do with animals, animals do what they do because they need to pass their genes to another .. I am not saying that animals dont' feel love, they just have a different mentality of what it means that humans do.

I kind of figured that when I joined this fandom, that slashes would inevitably follow. They're nearly everywhere. I don't mind them much at all- in fact, I've grown to like some of them. But I find myself physically incapapable of drawing fanart for slash and writing slash fanfiction. I'm rather uncomfortable with the subject in that way.
But I DO like looking at slash fanart/fanfic. And I find great amusement in chewing out the people who say that slash is sick and wrong. XD
