Umm... no. I don't find them cute together at all. I dislike this couple with great intensity. Numbuh 86 is cuter with numbuh 4 in my opinion. And I think I'd like 19th century guy better if he was still frozen

It think it was brilliantly placed.
I don't necessarily like the couple, but the way they introduced it was pretty good.
One way to stir up excitement/emotions about an episode is to introduce a new romantic angle. And they achieved their goal- many people may not like the couple, but they're talking about it.
I think that 86 went from hate to love pretty fast, even for someone young. One could theorize that she doesn't really know what love is yet (not many of them do), so when she told 19th Century that she loved him, she didn't know what she was talking about. I think she liked him a whole lot, mainly because he showed her how annoying sexist prejudices are- and was one of the only people to show affection for her. But love? Doubtful.

Why do you like it, Violet?
I like it because it added something extra to the episode, I didn't like it because it felt rushed.

It was rushed because it's hard to fit an realistic romance into a 20-odd minute show. I don't like it as a ship but, in the context of the show, it was fun. I think Fanny went from 'Miss Hate' to love so fast because she, as is previously stated, has no friends at all and thus submerges herself in her thankless occupation to get away from it. She has a hard outter shell but, as it turns out, a soft interior.
Of course she did decomission him so we may extend the metaphor and posit a even harder core in said soft interior. ;D

Umm... right. I haven't actually seen the episode yet, but from what I've seen so far, I'm not really so keen. It's just that... I dunno, something about them just doesn't 'look' right. So I guess I'll see what I think when I actually watch the episode, but from what I've seen in the forum I don't really like it.

A real romance is impossible at their age. (Though 19th guy must be at least 200 years old) Though i have to admit they real seemed to like each other, but if Fanny really loved him I think she would've given him a chance instead of decommisioning him. But that's just one KND fan's opinion.

I agree 100%.
If Fanny really knew what love was, she wouldn't have decommisioned him.
And while 19th Century aged 200 years, he didn't mature a day- physically and mentally.
If was a cute little fling, and I think Numbuh 86 at least learned that sexism- from either gender- is really annoying and wrong. ...but I don't think it'll stop her from disliking most boys.

Yeah, she may have only liked Numbuh 19th century because he treated her much differently as most 21rst century boys ever would. She won't find another boy who acts like him any time soon, so the Fanny we love hasn't really gone anywhere.

I'm not too keen on these two, but if he calms 86's temper down for a while, I'm all for them staying a couple... ...although it's still a mystery to me why she picked a Buster Brown clone to moon over. (As soon as I'm able to get a hold of my scanner, I'll post some alternate 19th Century costumes that I drew recently.) By the way, I also think his attitude about girls stinks, but women in the 1800s put up with it. Women weren't "allowed" to express the fiery, nervy side of themselves back in the Victorian days. Thank God we're past those days and attitudes. (Sometimes my husband wishes I was a nice, silent helpmeet instead of what I am...but that's a post for another day and board...)

i luv this couple it's so obvious that they like each other except i hate 19th century cause he thinks that girls aren't as tough as boys and we should just stay at home making figgy pudding (what ever that is) when he was saying all that crud about girls i was about ready to jump into the tv and strangle him. but then since 86 and 19th century are both sexists i guess they would be pretty good together.
