Not really. They would have woken her up. ^.^
I know the show. Know what'd be even cooler? If you got two other girls and 2 guys and did the ending dance! I'd totally go for that. If I had 4 friends who were into anime, cosplaying, and dancing.
Then again, if I lived near Florida, I'd totally hook up with this one girl who's been in Cats and get a bunch of otehr people to dress in kitty ears do the Jellicle Ball dance.
Or the Neko Ball dance. XD

I know it's been done. Several times. Doesn't mean it can't be done again.
What parody?! I've already got a crazy Munojerrie and Rumpleteazer meets Heinrich and Abby idea that just. Won't. Die.

I was thinking more along the lines of:
"Otaku songs for anime fans"
Of course, that would take some time for me to combine ever single Otaku stereotype I can think of into 7 minutes worth of lyrics.
@the ending dance-
Well, I could probably round up some kids in my anime club and-

OK, I managed to whip up a rough draft of the first verse
Have you ever cosplayed? Have you been to a con? Do you wear goofy clothes? Do you spike up your hair? Do you tackle glomp strangers just because it is fun? When there's a sale at suncoast are you the first person there?
Because Otaku's are and Otaku's do Otaku's do and Otaku's would Otaku's would and Otaku's can Otaku's can and Otaku's do

XD I love it. It's only funny because it's true.
You should mention Tokyopop and the Tokyopop forums. TON of otaku there.

Wow, I guess I have to power watch Tokyopop + power surf the Tokyopop forums for some good material.
I haven't really been to anime forums much actually(3 guesses why), perhaps I should do some browsin'.

Well, Tokyopop is the place to do it. TP is the biggest name in manga in America. They even have an annual competition so new artists and teams can get published and have a chance at their own book. Rising Stars of Manga. The 10 winners get their entry published in an anthology and get to pitch an idea to the company.

...is this revenge for the Whovian discussion on the last few pages? 'Cause I swear I haven't a clue as to what you are talking about.
Well, two can play at that game: Daleks! Cybermen! Bad Wolf! Vote Saxon! Sonic Screwdriver!
C'mon SJ, we can rout the knaves! Once more into the breach &c.

C'mon SJ, we can rout the knaves! Actually, we're otaku. And apparently, Cats fans.

Knaves, otaku...what's the difference? Both despicable opponents of righteous Whovians! Rightful targets to make war upon! And TARDIS help me, so we will!
;D
Otaku...doesn't that come from a Japanese pronoun? Roughly equivalent to 'thee'?

Otaku in Japan is more of a derogatory term, actually, for someone who's so obsessed with something, they bascially never leave their room/basement/parent's house.
The American version just means a manga/anime fan.
It's derived from an honorific Japanese term for another's house or family. Secondarily, it's the Japanese form of the Spanish usted, however you want to translate that.
