Actually, I hate to break it to you, NumbuhInfinity....there will be romance in it. <3 Well, in one chapter....which I'm planning to type tonight or earlier if I can.
Where does the romance start, you all ask? They both run to the park to get away/hide out from Mr. McKenzie and his shiny shot-gun. (The guy's drunk, if you forgot)

It's a pretty good startup to the story, although personally, I've always felt that what makes the couple/friendship so alluring is that there are things that they can't protect each other from. Maybe I just like torturing the characters sometimes, I don't know, but I've always had this feeling that because of their respective positions, they have to keep each other in the dark sometimes, Rachel especially.
