am i the only one annoyed when people use the terms yaoi and yuri in fandoms for AMERCIAN cartoons? we have english terms for this stuff, people -slash and femslash.
it's just too much like fangirl japanese.
but anyways, i am teh biggest slash fan. for reals. we voted on it. XD so yes, i loves me teh slash. mmmmm.

Isn't it obvious? I am a slash fan. My primary kick is 1/4.

*smacks neverwannagrowup with a large stick*
It's called SLASH and FEMSLASH, nammit!
Anyhoo, I'm not a huge fan of KND slash. I like 1/2 and 1/4, but that's about it.

I hate the word yaoi. It makes me think of if you stepped on someone's foot and they said "YAOOOIII!"
But slash-wise, I like 1/4. That's it. For some reson I can't picture Numbuh 2 being gay.
Femslash is more of my thing. I like 3/86, 86/362, and -5/-86. And 3/5, a little.

I must be one of the few people who isn't a slash fan. It's just not my preference, particularly of the male kind. Which kinda sucks considering every anime fandom has 90-95% of fics of (mostly male) slash. I can see where slash pairings are inevitable in some fandoms (Sailor Moon has few canon male characters, as does Totally Spies, so naturally they both have a lot of femslash going). Although I think a lot of slash pairings don't make sense, particularly if I think one or both of the involved characters clearly seem heterosexual, or in a hetero relationship (and like that relationship). I really don't understand where 1/4 comes from; I'd thought, if Wally would be slashed even though he likes Kuki, it would be 2/4... Nigel I can't see with other guys ('cause it doesn't look right or make sense to me). Now I'm sure someone might come busting in and say "wel u h0mofob3 derz lots o het pairz dat sux oto der so stupeed unliek r yayowee!!!!!1111oneone". Yes. I am well aware that there are sucky hetero pairings. There are quite a few in this KND fandom alone that I don't like. Why is it that people always assume because slash isn't your preference you're a "homophobe" and love every single heterosexual romance fics even if (you think) the pairings suck or make no sense? Er, sorry I ranted.

I just got into this fandom *checks watch* two days ago, but I'm already all over the 1/4. Thing about slash pairings is that they don't have to be something that's ever going to happen in canon (big duh there)-- part of the fun for me is making it work even though Wally and Nigel aren't going to be snogging on a TV screen near you anytime soon (and yipes, I don't think I'd want them to, they're waaay too young yet). Why is it that people always assume because slash isn't your preference you're a "homophobe" and love every single heterosexual romance fics even if (you think) the pairings suck or make no sense? For the record, I don't think all (or even most) slashers feel this way. You might've had contact with some especially immature ones? Anyway, I once had someone flame me and call me a misogynist for *not* writitng het, so I think it goes both ways. I'm personally of the belief that all pairings can co-exist peacefully, even if they happen to be mutually exclusive. After all, it's fiction. Eep, talk about ranting...
