I didn't really care about it at first but then one time I saw an anime show about a nerdy inventive guy(just like 2) and in one episode he met a girl who was tough, bad tempered and rude and nobody liked her,(just like 86) but she loved him so she blackmailed him into going out with her or she'd tell people his "deepest secret" Altough she loved him she also hated him(for reasons in the past) and in the the boy said she didn't have feeling for her---right now.
Anyway as I was watching this eppy I thought 'those two remind me of 2/86!' So I find 2/86 to be pretty interesting and maybe not such a bad couple. I still like 2/3 better, but I can see where 2/86 fans are going with this. Anyway it's BETTER then 2/Lizzie.

I've never really liked the idea of this couple. I've seen P.I.N.K.E.Y.E. several times, and I still don't see how their conversation could be considered any sort of 'proof.' I also just don't see it happening because their personalities clash a lot. Hoagie in an easygoing, amusing kind, and 86 is kind of.. well.. Uptight, and very touchy. Of course, no offense to 1/5 shippers, but generally when I see 2/86, the person's other favorite ships usually include 1/5 somewhere. It seems to me people are constantly shunting poor Hoagie away on some other random person.. Like 86 or Lizzie. But then, that's just my opinion.

To be honest, I agree with a lot of what you said. Although I think that their conversation in Op. PINK-EYE was pretty proof-y, I still don't see how their personalities fit well, as most 2/86 fans say. If you look at FUGITIVE, Numbuh 2 was just SCARED of Numbuh 86. I think that someone who bites his nails and stutters when she yells at him wouldn't make a very good match for Numbuh 86. That's just my opinion though...

I also noticed that a lot of people who now have 2/86 on their list of couples are the same people who used to have 2/Lizzie or 2/nobody on their list, which makes 2/86 less appealing to me. I mean, people are free to have their own opinions. If you like 2/86, that's fine. It's a cute couple. But it just seems like a replacement 2/Lizzie to me.

What bothers me most about this topic... is the arguement that "Two likes Cree, so Two must like tough girls, meaning Two could like Numbuh 86!"

Not to be rude, guys and girls, but have the people saying this ever interacted with real people before? Because this isn't how feelings work at all.

I can`t see this couple happening. They don`t have any proof. I mean, in P.I.N.K. - E.Y.E., maybe Hoagie called her Toots, but that doesn`t prove anything. (As well as the fact that he wasn`t scared of her.) And, if it would prove something, that would only be, that 2 likes 86. And not, that she likes him back!! Because she was yelling at him and she beat him up. (I think that`s not how you show your feelings.) And, the biggest reason, why she doesn`t like him: She addmitted that she likes NUMBUH 4!!
