Oops. I accidentally deleted the original post.
Uh, I was just asking, as the topic said, when 3/4 became such a popular couple.

Well, it became popullar with me, when I`ve read the first 3/4 page. First, I wasn`t even into couples! Then, I went looking something about KND on Internet and found out Abbys knd and all grown up site. I`ve read all the hints about 3/4 and then I realized they really belong together. Now, they`re one of the reasons I watch the KND!

Probably Operation: OFFICE/ARCTIC.

It seems to me 3/4ness has been around almost as long as KND itself. It's like, you know... it just magically happened.
Then of course, there was that one issue of Cartoon Cartoon Comics, which was printed six months before the show itself premiered.

Um, he's asking when it became popular with the fans, not when the couple started.
I think it became popular around the same time that Codename: Kids Next Door got a fandom.

Um, he's asking when it became popular with the fans, not when the couple started. I think it became popular around the same time that Codename: Kids Next Door got a fandom. Oh. Yea, you'd be right. The first fangirl crawled out of the sea and turned on the television, and lo and behold, KND was on. And this fangirl said "WAAAAAAAAH! Numbuh Three and Numbuh Four are so kawaii together!" Then the mayhem began. You know, it's kind of interesting to think back on how people's romance preferences have changed over time. Back in season one, the predominant couples were 1/5 and 3/4. No one liked Lizzie because she broke up 1/5. Then Season Two came. 1/Lizzie gained dominance, people started not liking 1/5, and 3/4 was still the Number One Couple of the fandom. Around then, 2/5 started rising in popularity. Throughout the show's run, 3/4 has been the most consistently popular couple... And then somebody wondered when it all began... ...And I wondered why I just recapped KND history when this simple question has already been answered.

And you forgot the part where slash couples and the Delightful Children got fandoms. And the part when the older members started grumbling about all the n00bs.

Huh, I always kept thinking CATS aired before OFFICE. Soooo... I was going to say CATS. O.o But then I checked at tv.com and it appears I'm wrong. *shrug*
Yeah, OFFICE/ARCTIC.

I'm with everyone else. It started right after OFFICE, and it got out of hand after CATS.
I said before that I stay away from reading 3/4 fanfics. That's why this couple is still fresh for me.

I remember thinking that Numbuh 4's crush was kinda cute but I never thought they would be together until they were like teens. But then 1/Lizzie happened and I thought, "well, I guess it'd be kinda cute for a little."
I'm starting to get a little tired of it though...

I also think it was O.F.F.I.C.E but then in P in the OOL (smg like that forgot the name) I remembered Numbuh 4 was the first one to grab Numbuh 3 out of her room without a number signal...><

Are slash couples gay couples?

Yes. It, just like every other fandom term, comes from Star Trek fandom. Apparently people used to pair up Kirk/Spock so much, the pairing was refered to using the slash between the names. Or something.
Now I have a question to ask you. What does that have to do with 3/4 mania?
