Yeah, I could name more couples that I liked than ones I didn't like. Hehe.

So could I, Sam... mostly because I've come to realize that there's potential for all couples. When people say a couple can't work, what they really mean is THEY don't see how it works (or, in some cases, are refusing to admit it could).
But 1/3 is the best ^__^. I don't mind that it splits up 3/4--like 1/5, 3/4 are IMO too similar in nature. That is, both are pretty much pure children, as opposed to 1 and 5 who show a lot of maturity for just being ten years old.

Nature...I'll agree. But their personalities are opposites. While Kuki is the carefree, blissfully happy, free spirited Asian girl, Wally is the Tuff-Guy, temper problems, Anger-Management-Aussie. They go perfect!
And besides...I don't see 1/Lizzie ending anytime soon. They are cute!

But y'know, there is such a thing as being *too* different. I couldn't argue with you on KND, because it's not my main fandom, but I could rant for *hours* on how ____ and ____ from a fandom are too alike or too different to make a good couple. I agree that most people can get together to date for whatever reason, but I also believe that if you're going to be in a long relationship it takes more. You have to be alike in some ways and different in others. There are exceptions to this, of course, but as a rule... I dunno, I'm rambling.
For KND... I've never seen 1/3. Like, I really can't picture it. Because 1 is so mature, and because 3 is so childish, I'd just think that as a couple 3 would get on 1's nerves for being so naive. I also, though, find it interesting that (as far as I can tell) 1 and 3 are your favorite characters, James. I know from expirence that it's all that much easier to picture a couple formed from personal favorite characters... and that much easier to be baised towards them. I personally am not a huge fan of Numbah 1, and that's probably a factor in why I'm not a 1/3 fan. I know for a fact that my odd obsession with 4/86 is because they are my favorite characters... but, I'm going to stop rambling now.
I'm niether in favor of 1/3, 3/4, 4/86, 1/L or anything else. The show does not need tons of romance, I liked it before I had read a single romance story and I like it now.
...On the other hand, 1/5 squicks me. XD So much for my "have no baises rant," hm?

Actually despite my feelings toward certain pairings (postive or negative) I wouldn't want the show to be dominated by tons of romance, either. I don't even write much romance in fics.

hmmmmm. I guess that I wouldn't really want the show to be pure romance either. But that's just because I read SOOOO many fics like that. Sry if it sounded like I was mad earlier. I'm not! **hugs**

I dislike romance in the show. It's like, "Okay, do we REALLY need any more 3/4 hints?" But on the other hand, I like reading romance fanfics. But on the other hand, some of them are really bad. But on the other hand, I'm not helping, since I *do* write sappy romance stories that are completely devoid of detail and/or plot. In fact, all my fanfics tend to be a little short on plot. I guess you'd call them "trivial fanfics" or something. I also, though, find it interesting that (as far as I can tell) 1 and 3 are your favorite characters, James. I know from expirence that it's all that much easier to picture a couple formed from personal favorite characters... Haha, ain't that the truth! My favorite characters are 2, 3, 86, and 274. Ironically, I ship 2/3 and 86/274, in addition to a LARGE amount of 2 couples, 3 couples, 86 couples, and 274 couples. I've never really liked Numbuh 4 that much (*is killed by a bunch of #4 fans*), so that's probably why the only 86 pairing I DON'T ship is 4/86 (actually, 2/86 too. Hm, that's odd. Maybe his nail-biting would completely freak her out, making a relationship an impossibility?) Well, anyway, I think it's a lot easier to ship favorite characters together and also to ship your favorite character with nearly everybody. ^^;;; I wonder why that is. But 1/3 is the best ^__^. I don't mind that it splits up 3/4--like 1/5, 3/4 are IMO too similar in nature. That is, both are pretty much pure children, as opposed to 1 and 5 who show a lot of maturity for just being ten years old. I agree that 1/5 and 3/4 are couples with characters TOO similar to each other that they don't really fit, but I also think that well... as you said, any couple could work, really, no matter how different or similar the people are. I think that it all boils down to how much a person likes the couple (for whatever reason) and that comparing and contrasting personalities is used merely to justify their arbitrary preference to that couple. Er... yeah, that's my theory.

Ironically, her naivette in contrast to his maturity is preicsely WHY I think they would get along. Just note that as it is, they already get along just fine... he even softens up on her in times when others are being harsh or critical (Operation: F.A.S.T.-F.O.O.D. comes to mind). I also agree though that romance figured in too heavily in the second season, and seemingly intent on cramming certain couples in our faces... namely 1/Lizzie and 3/4. 3/4 was cute the first time it happened, but by Operation: B.E.A.C.H. I was getting just about sick of it.

I meant more that she'd get on 1's nerves if they were a couple. Maybe I'm just thinking too 'adult' here, *that sounded funny* but I think that 1 would want a more eh... not serious in that sense, but more real dating relationship (He does go on dates, he does hold Lizzie's hand), and 3 wouldn't... get it.
9.9
Parron really doesn't make much sense when she's trying to explain things.

...Hey Guys! I think that Cree really does have a crush and is just in denial...**grins** ;D Hey, maybe you're right! The girl denies it quite loudly. However, I'm sure that James will be glad to hear that he has opened my mind up to the idea of 1/3. Originally, I didn't even consider it, but now I'm starting to think that it might work. Not really sure how it would though. ~Cybra
