There is no doubt that Nigel/Abby and Kuki/Wallabe are the dominiate couples in Codename: Kids Next Door fandom. Understandable, really, due to the popularity of both 1 and 5, and the undeniable evidence of a 3/4 connection. Yet still, I wonder about the rebels in this gathering, the people who have different ideas about who belongs with who. So I ask these people: who are YOUR favorite couples? (Nigel/Lizzie, ironically enough, counts as an odd couple)

No offense, but Nigel/Lizzie is NOT a odd couple!  Personally, i think it's very cute. And it exists, unlike 1/5. |

I voted for Others, but only because I get to say I think Nigel/Kuki is kinda cute, and Hoagie/Abby could be an interesting (and funny) pair. Though now that I think about it, I have a slight fear they would turn into those weirdos that are the new live hosts of CN Fridays... EDIT: D'oh, I forgot Hoagie has/had a crush on Abby's sister, Cree. Heh, ah well. Since he probably won't have Cree (if Support didn't ruin his chances enough), then Abby's the next best girl, right?  |

Before I had really started off finding more information on Kids Next Door in December last year I thought the cutest couple was Nigel/Kuki. Of course the only slightest hint I remember and have seen so far is the one in Operation T.U.R.N.I.P. (Turnips Unfortunately Reaching Near Infestation Point) when Kuki asks if Nigel would let them battle the robot duck ("You promised! You promised!")
The Hoagie/Abby pairing isn't a new idea. Operation P.I.R.A.T.E. (Pirates Invade Repository And Treats Extracted) is full of them (according to tvtome.com) especially the scene when Hoagie rescues Abby from falling to her death.
As for Hoagie/Kuki, just make a reference to Operation C.A.M.P....

Well, the whole PIRATE thing is really just the TVTomers making big deals out of nothing. I mean come on! What do they cite? He rescues her (so of course he HAS to be in love with her otherwise he wouldn't care if she died or not, right?) among some other meaningless things. I can only imagine what they would think if KUKI had saved Abby from falling... I too, BTW, started out thinking Nigel/Kuki was a cute couple. You can kinda-sorta see this in some of my earlier fanfics, especially "The Real Truth." |

There's something to be said for fanfiction that takes place before season two.... And while we're at it, lets throw in big ol' love hexagons, sci-fi elements, and call it "Nigel Muyo!" Coming soon, "Nigel Muyo the Movie: Nigel in Love!" (At least it's not got Chinese curses and called "Nigel 1/2: Nihao my Concubine"). *James is feeling in a silly mood tonight* |
