Maybe it's just me, but the computer voice sounds pretty much like an adult to me. Isn't that contradictory to the Kids Next Door's oath? :)global

If the computer's voice sounds like a woman's voice, it proberby does sound like an adult.

It does, doesn't it? But why do they use a grown up woman's voice? Why not a little girl's voice to complement with the KND rule of no adults allowed?

That would be a great idea.

Could be a psychological "mommy" thing. since most of them are away from home on missions and stuff for so long they might miss thier moms but not want to admit it.

I always assumed it was an homage/parody to the Majel Barrett computer voice used in every incarnation of Star Trek. ::shrugs::

All the kids in the show sound like adults.

Could be a psychological 'mommy' thing. Could be. But aren't the reason why the kids join the KND in the first place is to run away from their nagging moms?

Eh, personally I would rather hear an adult woman's computer voice that's tolerable rather than some high-pitched nerdy/dorkish kid's voice that's trying too hard to sound cool.

Lord Malachite's right. Thanks to, mostly, Trek that's simply what computers sound like. One would assume (canon-wise) that whomever designed the KND Central Computerabob was something of a Trek fan. And, reality-wise, we know Mr. W is quite well acquainted with Trek.
