All right, here's a discussion to end all discussions:
Why, really, does the KND Prison Transport Ship have a "blow up the engine" button?
(I bet five cookies someone's response says "plot convenience" or a synonym thereof, before we even get off the first page).

While plot convenience is the obvious one, why not..umm...as a last resort? Say the adults get ahold of it, the kid can blow up the engine so that the adult can't do any harm. At least not with the ship.

In real life, soldiers blow up their malfunctioned/disabled in combat vehicles so their enemies won't get a hold on their technology. Same reasoning applies to the Transport Ship I guess.
Then again, I recently saw Black Hawk Down.

Aye that's what I was thinking. Cree complaine that there was a 'blow up the engines' button when she took over the ship. Really, there's the reason there. It was there so as to stop people like Cree from taking over KND ships and using them to get to the moonbase.

In operation S.P.A.C.E., the self destruct button on the KND prison spaceship looks like ether a small fairy cake or a cup cake, I think.

It looked more like a muffin to me. But I haven't seen that ep in a while, so I could be misremembering it. But yeah, it was probably there to keep the ship from falling into enemy hands. Either that, or whoever designed it just thought it would be cool.

Hey TheoryGirl: What show is your avatar from? It's Altessa from Fushigiboshi no Futago Hime (aka Twin Princesses of the Mysterious Planet). You probably haven't heard of it.

About that button,I guess it has a use ,or the Kids Next Door would not stupitly put it there. And the muffin or whatever that was on that button,.....................no idea why it was there. But at least they could cover it with a glass or some thing so they won't accidently press it!

Or maybe a plastic box cover top would be a good idea for preventing an accidental press on the button.

Seems to me that is served its purpose. Kept Cree from reaching the moon base, didn't it?
Sorta...
