Well, I think I can safely conclude we're all fans of Kids Next Door. I was just wondering why everyone else liked it.
First off, I think the idea is interesting. The whole thing is an interesting parody on the "Kids vs. Adults" thing. Kids often resent having to brush their teeth, so on KND they of course have an episode devoted to that (T.E.E.T.H.)
Secondly, this show fits into my #1 favorite genre: Humor. I really like funny things. I like reading/watching/writing them.
Those are the two main things. There are other things I like, i.e. the theme song is good, I like the characters, the continuity is interesting, but the humor and the premise are what I like the most about it. How about the rest of you?

Ooh, good topic.
First time I saw KND, (I forget which episode) I liked it. It had what other cartoons lacked: Humor! (takes a lot to make me laugh out loud at something)
Dexter was like the only other show that was funny to me. And perhaps PPG at the time, but it's not very funny anymore. Anyway, I watched it, laughed, and thought the whole Kids vs. Adults thing was cute. Plus the charactes were also cute. So, I watched it again, laughed, and here I am today. ^^

i like kids next door because it has all my favorite genres drama, humor, fantesy, and action. but the main reason is because we can all relate to something the kids are fighting. like for example like lord seth said operation teeth kids hate going to the dentist (which i don't mind but i hate holding my mouth open for a long time) so the knd fight it. and third its a good show with a good story line and good twists. but lastly it gives me something to watch on friday nights (i have nothing else to do ;D). thats why i like knd.

I think that there are two main reasons why I really like Kids Next Door.
1. The colors. If you look at the five main characters, they make a kind of rainbow. Red (#1's shirt), blue (#2's shirt), green (#3's shirt), yellow (#4's hair), orange (#4's shirt), red (#5's cap), and back to blue (#5's shirt). I can't explain it, but I'm really drawn to colors. It's cool how each of the main characters has certain colors (as well as different personalities and ways of speaking) and when you see the five of them together, you're amazed by how good they all look and work together. It's kind of hard to explain, but it's the same reason why I liked Teen Titans after just watching its opening.
2. The ideas. For some reason, KND has a certain feel that I can REALLY relate to. It's not the "I don't want to go to bed early" or "I hate adults" feel, but the "I don't want to grow up" feel that really stuck out to me and made me like the show because I spent a lot of my childhood feeling the exact same way. I think that's why I disliked Op. END so much. When Chad grew up, it wasn't portrayed as a sad thing, like it would've been in other KND episodes. In fact, no one really cared. The episode ended like it was a happy ending (Yay! We saved the moonbase!), but it wasn't. I think that's why I didn't like Op. END. It went against that "I don't want to grow up" feel that attached me so much to the show in the first place.

Basically I like it because of most of what you guys said. I like the whole idea of the show. I mean, it was a good idea! Also, the opening is cool, it's funny, and I like the characters.

That's pretty easy. I looked up about Codename Kids Next Door Relationships and then I looked up on Anime Style KND. Now it gets even better. Thanks to you, Bizarro. Also I started watching the pilot of KND, No P in the ool. The series came out and I started watching the first two eleven episodes, I-Scream and Cannon. After the first season ended, I've felt great. The first thing about the season finale, I thought it's the last episode. I was stupid. Right now the show is getting better and better.

For me, it's the characters. I especially love the way the five main characters play off each other They're personalities are always clashing and colliding in insane ways. It's almost like watching a messed up sitcom.

I just think it's a cute show ^.^|| I like the situations they get into, and the characters remind me of myself and my fiance, and some of my friends as well. I rarely ever have a character that actually reminds me of myself in ANYTHING, video games, anime, books, ect ect. So when something like that comes along, it's kind of a big deal for me ^.^|||

Several reasons, in my case. I like that Codename Kids Next Door blends action and drama with comedy and somehow manages to make it work. Most shows today either try to be too serious and end up falling flat (Justice League, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe 2002), or try to be funny but just come off as immature and dumb (anything by Genndy Tartovosky or whatever his name is).
I also like the fact that for once, there is a show that has ten-year-old main characters who actually behave like ten-year-olds! In most shows (like Charlie Brown, Hey Arnold, South Park, etc) you see kids who know practically everything about politics and all sorts of advanced philosophy, and even topics like romance and sex. In KND the most unchildlike thing they do is know a few big words and have hi-tech weaponry (though note that said weaponry is made out of toys).
On a related note, I like how clean-minded the show is (and I intensely hate it when fanfics and stuff try to read more adult-oriented subject matter into the show--I mean the show is so clean-minded that it interprets R-rated movies as being a front for villain meetings, for criminy's sake!). I'm getting tired of all the messed-up dystopias you see in today's shows where everything is wrong and even the heroes are kinda tainted (TMNT 2002, Batman Beyond, etc) and it's nice to have a show that gets away from that view altogether. If I wanna hear someone's cynical world view, I'll listen to a political speech, not watch a cartoon (though this is all IMO).

I was waiting for you to post, because I always wanted to know what you liked about KND, because you seem to dislike most modern TV shows... But I do agree with a bunch of stuff you said.

Thanks ^__^. there is a bit of an inaccuracy in my post, however... I do enjoy some stuff that has a less-than-glowing representation of the world. Heck, one of my favorite authors is Robert E. Howard, who had quite a grim outlook on humankind as a whole. I just don't think this kind of world view belongs in Kids Next Door, which is all about what the world is like to a ten-year-old.

For most any show, game, or story, what it takes to make me really like it are the characters. I'm a writer (Sorta) myself, so it's the characters that really interest me!
I don't think anyone here could say the characters in KND weren't awesome. Their color coding, ethnicities, and way of speaking set them each apart in a crowd so you'll never mix them up, and there's something individually great in each of them.
Nigel is the heroic leader with his mind set on missions, but he's still ten and can panic and run when he feels the need.
Although Hoagie is my least favorite, he's still interesting because he's a genius in technology, a goofball outside of his work, and he's actually got a crush on the enemy, Cree.
Kuki Sanban gives a lot of hyped energy to the team and makes sure that any situation is never too serious. And it's the light and humorous mood of the show we like, isn't it? Despite the fact that my favorite episodes are the dramatic ones!
Now Wally is my absolute favorite because there are different levels of his personality. His top persona is his fiery, tempered self who kicks serious butt! And along with that, he isn't a superhuman force either! He gets beat up as much as he doesn't! And then there's Wally's silly side in which he sucks at school, makes jokes and hangs out with Hoagie, and tries to make Kuki laugh when she's sad. That brings up a last point... In the show, you can see he has a crush on Kuki and it's portrayed in just the best way... It's never said officially, though you can just SEE it there, and Wally is always trying to be subtle about it.
Abby is interesting because of how well she qualifies as second in command though she likes to fly her own jet. Whenever things get tough and Nigel can't think of anything, Abby can jump in to lend him a hand. But on the other hand, she loves to go on personal missions by herself in her quest to find the rarest candies and sweets like the Fourth Flavor. And through it all, she's laid back and cool about everything.

I like it because of 3 things. (1. It's funny! ;D That's all it usually takes for a cartoon to be in my list of faves. (2. It's got action, drama, and romance. Just the way I like it. (3. It's cute^^! Simple reasons, yes .

The fact is, to really like a TV show (cartoon or else) first I need a fave character. I discovered NUmbuh 4 right in the 1st episode I saw (I-SCREAM).
Then I realised there was a lot of truth in the show. For example, I saw UNDERCOVER, then looked at my parents at morning walking out of their room like "Cofeeeeeeee... nooooooooooowwwwwww..."
Third, I like the perfectly developed characters. I once saw a cartoon (man, it was dumb!), in which a character at the beginning of the episode hid behind the sofa or screamed "Mommy" almost every 2 seconds, then at the end he turned into a lion-hearted hero...
