I remember a few years ago there was this derranged Christian student at my high school (I'm not anti christian before we bring that in. ;D She just was..) Who considered the color black to be the color of the devil, and evil.
I just asked her "Then why is it the regular attire of priests and nuns?"
The look on her face was shocking... shocking because its hard to fathom that she'd lived as long as that and had never considered that oh so plain and obvious statement.
Just had to share that.
Oh, and don't give too much attention to the stuff that many of your fellow students in school think, most of the time they don't have any clue what they're talking about..
Trust me, you'll see that after its all done. lol If anyone says your goth because you wear a black t shirt they're just looking for attention or a quick ego boost. Not even worth a bit of worry.
But all throughout history Black has been associated with darkness and all that I think because its the same color as the dark, and we naturally instictually have a a fear of the dark from birth. As you get older you start to see that the dark isn't really necessarilly all evil..just like the light(white) isn't necessarilly all good either, sounds like your classmates have yet to experience the fact that life isn't so black and white..
Plus anyone who doesn't think Black is stylish is just out of they're mind.
But yeah, I'm not joking when I say its the "misunderstood color". People like your classmates say stuff about it, but as a whole we still consider it synonimous with style and "coolness". How's that for an oxymoron?
