Studying arts and the meaning of different colors, and the emotions they invoke or represent, each color has a good and bad quality to it. No color is inherantly bad, and no color is inherantly good. There's both there just like with all of us. I don't how how they really relate to each character. ^^; But here's the considered meanings of these colors.
Red: My personal favorite color.
Red represents irrepressable passion and firey determination. Its the kind of power that never extinguishes even in the most dire times, its a source of sheer inner strength. On the bad side, it also represents blind anger and destructive intent. Its a very strong color that always gets attention first.
Blue: Is a very faith driven color. It represents thoughtfulness and insight. Its also the color which mostly represents our dreams and ambitions in a good way. On the bad side, it could also represent extreme passiveness and even cold, emotionless bitterness. Its like the other side of the same coin with red, they both can be associated with passion and ideal's, but red is up front while blue is more passive aggressive.
Green: Green can represent natural intent, the ability to be completely natural with no untruthfulness, it can also represent genius potential as its considered the color of intelligence. On the bad side, it can also represent (you guessed it) jealousy and greed, as these are things born of intelligence as well potentially.
Yellow: Yellow is often considered the color of flamboyance, but this isn't necessarilly bad. It can be in a way which brings great inner confidence and radiance. Its the kind of thing which gives people the kind of charisma to lift spirits. It can also represent vanity and ignorance however, as there's a line between the good kind of confidence, and the bad kind.
Purple: Purple is an odd color, its like a meshing of Red and Blue with shared characteristics of both. Its a color that best represents hidden emotion. Emotion thats heavy and immense, but hidden under a thin veil of restraint and coordination. Its a color that can mean someone who has a passion to do something, and has a degree of control over it. Purple however, is a double edged sword and that it can als orepresent repression itself, and as everyone knows too much repression can be a very, very unhealthy thing for the mind.
Those are the main colors, here are some others just incase.
Light Brown: Brown itself is something which is down to earth and willing to be one with the earth. In other words, your surroundings. Its a color thats considered ugly..at first. But upon closer inspection its a color that is widely useful for many things, so it sacrifices its flamboyance for what works and in that, there's a great deal of beauty. Light Brown in particular, could mean something a bit different. Its rare lighter tones mean something but for Brown, it means that the color is still rather pretty, but willing to be down to earth and "get the job done". Its a very casual color in other words.
Brown tends to actually not have much of a bad side, its one of the most neautral colors of them all.
White: White is the color of light, it can represent pure radiance and purity, as well as sheer, undisguised intention. Like Red, its a very powerful color that catches the eye when done right. It is this way because, like a shimmering light, it pierces without any kind of thought whatsoever. It can be something of a great force for good intention, but its not exclusive to the good types. The bad intentioned can wear this too, as a sign of they're unyielding.
Black: Is the most flexible of all the colors. Think of it, there's no color that doesn't go well with black. This is what it represents. Its the color of the night, and is often misjudged as being an "evil" color. But good and evil have no color, black is the polar opposite of White, in that its subtle. It doesn't try to draw attention to itself, but rather meshes in and makes everything overall more pleasing. This is how it affects personality, its the most, like the night its accepting of all things and is a deep and thought provoking color. The light may be an unstoppable force, but ther can be no real contrast without dark, dark is a color of subtle yet great strength.
A color of mystery as well.
It can ofcourse, also mean darkness and the dangerous unknown.
Take all the meanings as you will.
