My college has a noir radio drama that airs every Sunday, called The Dead Hear Footsteps: The Adventures of Hardin Lovelace. All the voice acting and sound effects are done by students on campus, and the episodes are broadcasted live. The show's in it's tenth season, and it's damn entertaining. I play the character Lucy Lodge, so, please, concrit is much appreciated. Let us know what you think. Episodes will be posted as they air. 1) Out of the Gutter2) The Dealmaker3) Showdown4) missing D:5) Too Many Guns6) The Death of Hardin LovelaceHope you enjoy!

Sorry... the thought of the "General Creativity Board" temporarily vanished from my memory. ^^; I only remembered there was a board like this when I saw the "last posted" update in the main page. Ehehe... And thanks for uploading it!! I'll go download 'em now.

I'm such a meanie.... *sulk* Sorry for not being able to comment last night. ^^; I planned to give the comments in one go after listening to the three of 'em. Well, my connection was rather slow last night so I was able to download only the first one. So far here's what I think about it: [Note: I don't listen to radio drama that much so I don't think I have enough ah.. "ideas" of what is good or not in a radio play...) -The accent of Mr (w-was it Loveless? guh i think i got it wrong...) is notable. The emotions and the mood of the story is interpretted very well. Plus I find his voiced-out thoughts interesting. ;D -Who plays the Scottish guy? His accent sounds cool. x3 -Hmm... there's a tiny bit of a problem with the intro, though. The background music and sounds effects were kind of "covering" the narrator's introduction. I couldn't quite make out what the lines were. ^^; -I have to point out that the Lice commercial was kinda funny. XD Especially the way the mother reacts. Wait. This is not what I'm suppose to be paying close attention to XD-I don't know if it's not yet in the episode, I missed it or I'm really just deaf, but I wasn't able to hear any dialogue of Lucy. I was actually keeping a watch out for her...you. XD If I did miss it, I'm sorry. I'll go listen to it one more time. -There are quite a few silent parts... Darn I forgot what they call those... the ones where people are relaying a conversation or dialogue in an empty "background" (without music), but other than that, the music and SFX give much to the mood of the story. -I really like how Mr Lov the main character voices out his opinions. And do I have to repeat it?Overall, I enjoyed it! Really! Though, I'm a bit slow when it comes to drama, so it takes awhile for the storyline to load inside my head... and perhaps I need to listen to it a few more times. My mom actually thought I was listening to a radio play over the internet (*ding* Professionals! ). I promise to listen to it again (and the whole series) and perhaps give better concrits. Hope I helped in someway.
Hey... I notice the whole thread is a forum-version of a conversation between the two of us. Why only meeee? How about telling this to the rest of the guild? I think it'd be great.

I already alerted them that I posted these, but I didn't get any takers. XD Therefore, you are AWESOME.
Hmm...a lot of stuff you've mentioned has to do with sound mixing. I'll bring that up in the next story meeting. And, yes, Henry (Hardin) does a great job!
As for my lines, I'm in the end of the first ep, the end of the second, and all through the third.

I am so NOT awesome. Xp How about alerting them one more time? You can't just let your co-actors(?) and your talent be unheard in this forum, especially the guild!
Ah, the last one? DARN!! I'll go listen to it again!
I'm really sorry to say it, but I won't be able to listen to it tonight since our internet's super slow. But I promise to listen to it once it speeds up!!
And ooh, if it's not too much to ask, is it alright if you give the character list? (for convenience ^^; ) I'm kind of disturbed with the fact that I'm getting the names wrong and that my ears don't get it right... ^^; Thanks in advance!

Hm, there are a few central characters. The rest are bit parts or they vary from ep to ep. So, here's the main list...I'm tired, so it's not very comprehensive.
Hardin Lovelace - the main character (a private eye) Lucy Lodge - his best friend/hypothetical love interest (a reporter) Chastity - his secretary Ricky the Paperboy Paperyoungman - uhh...the paperboy. Gives hardin a lot of leads. Ian McNasty - owner of McNasty's restaurant and bar
Can't think of any other big characters at the moment. The rest are parts that vary from episode to episode.
Though I can safely say that Pepper Jack Liebowitz is going to be the BEST side character EVER. (When he shows up)
