I was just saying that whenever some of them do voice their opinions, they usually make fun of a member or two in the process. And when the member fights back, or makes a comment about them, they just go overboard and make the whole thing worse. Honestly? So do, like, 90% of the people here. >XPP ~Regan |

It's funny, how it's okay for a mod to make fun of someone. And if they do, everyone sides with them. The mods are always right, no matter what they do. But if someone so much as makes a rude or sarcastic remark about a mod, or even stands up for themselves after a mod makes fun of them, then OH NO! That's just awful! That person must be some mean, rude person with no life. Correct? Not quite, y'see. James has been bringing all of this on HIMSELF since he got here, way back in 2003. He's been banned from people's LJs because he was stalking them. Amongst other things. I'm also not surprised some of those flames are getting thrown my way. Yeah, I deleted that stupid roleplaying thread, and I know that's been a huge offline grumblefest SINCE I did it. Damn it, that thing was a piece of shit and should have been taken to some other private forum in the first place. There. I said it! YAY! Jill, I'm also not surprised at your comments. I know exactly what you're referring to...you were the member who "fought" 0xFF. Did he ban you? No. Did he post to your posts after that? No. So he isn't singling you out for snarkiness. 1) At this point, I don't care WHAT James has to say. He's getting a huge ego-gasm over "getting to" me or whatever the shit he thinks he's doing. 2) I think it's ironic how he complains about what I do, did, or whatever at this forum, since he was always bitching about the fangirls and the stupidity and wanting to "clean it up" also.  Proof was posted in the other thread. Jamesy? I'd rather be a jellyfish (they are lovely to look at) than a freaking legend in my own inflated mind any day. |

If it's me I'd appreciate an example of an instance where I abused my powers -- I'm not saying I'm infallible but I deliver sanctions so rarely that it seems unlikely that I did anything dubious.

Oh, I know exactly what James is referring to. I banned some girl in the plushies adoptables thread for a few minutes. She "sniped" at me for "yelling at" someone who kept bothering the fanartists ("And, Kime. Don't be sad, I'll run and get you some ice for that burn Mme. Hoagie's Gal just gave you. ^_^" was the exact quote), and yeah, I overreacted.
So I reversed that damn ban. I've reversed a lot of bans I made. I've actually only banned a few people.
So James is using all this to inflate that ego of his. *shrug*

As to the people automatically jumping ot the defense of mods, I didn't defend MHG because she's a mod. I defended her because she was right. She's very effective as a mod, yes, and didn't deserve the unwarrented accusations James tossed her way.

You know, random deletions could be the result of a glitch in Proboards where multiple posts and a fast rate cause "blackouts", as I call them. Several pages get lost in the void. Happened to an RPG I was a part of a year or so ago. Several times, in fact.
