Welcome to the forums! I am catspats31, and look at my signature below for the pairings that I like from the show. Please feel free to state your opinion on the pairings below and what you like and don't like about KND fanfiction as a whole.

Hello! It's nice to meet you, too.
I'm starting to kinda like 1/362, partly because I'm also starting to really like 362 herself. And Jimmy/Ana is a cute pairing, also. It's just adorable how those two have each other, even in the Arctic Prison.
The things I do like about KND fanfiction is how it's used to expand the KND universe and explore certain characters and pairings. What I don't like would be how some fanfictions don't seem to bother with keeping the characters, well, in-character...and I would kinda like it if there were more fanfictions with the less popular pairings, like Jimmy/Ana *cough*and Father/Ms. Thompson*cough*.

I see that you like the pairings that I have stated in the signature below. I enjoy watching episodes of AVGN and Nostalgia Critic because they're funny, but honest reviewers at the some time. As you can see, you'll notice that I did not include 3/4 on the list. Even though I like every single moment between these two on the show, too many authors do romance stories about them. It is not limited to confessing their love towards each other too soon. You should take a look at darkton93's stories on deviantART. His stories show us how to do the 3/4 pairing the proper way in a KND fanfiction. You are so right about your dislike on fanfictions in which characters are out-of-character. One of the examples in which the characters are not acting like what they do on the show is "An Unusual Miracle" by Dark Deception. I'm going to do a blog-style review in the similar manner to the Nostalgia Critic someday. Currently, I'm doing one on Gamewizard2008 in the link provided: numbuh8.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=fanfics&action=display&thread=9806In a nutshell, I don't like the way the author puts too much focus on crossover material and OCs from other authors than it is with the actual KND characters or the theme of "a group of kids fighting against unjust adult tyranny". That is another thing that I don't like in some KND fanfictions. But that doesn't mean that I hate the author completely. I'll give an honest opinion of him as a whole some time after he finishes the finale, "Legend of the Eight Firstborn". What is your favorite KND fanfiction that you have ever read? One of them is Cyber Commander's "Operation: POWERPUFF" series on fanfiction.net. And what do you think of the "quote of the month"? I change them at the beginning of each month.

I like the Nostalgia Critic, too. His Ponyo and Ducktales reviews are some of my favorites.
Sounds interesting. I'll remember that.
Yeah, I think I've seen some of his fanfiction before. I'm not really a fan of crossover fanfiction (unless it happens to be a very good one) so I didn't really bother reading it. I'll take a look at your review, though.
Oh gosh. My favorite would be "Operation: There Is No Operation". It has good characterization and it has an in-depth look on the whole kids vs. adult war thing.
I agree with the quote. Perhaps those sort of people do so much damage because of their righteousness. What they're doing is good so they should do anything they can to do it (if we are talking about well-intentioned extremists).

I'm not really a fan of crossover fanfiction (unless it happens to be a very good one) so I didn't really bother reading it. Oh gosh. My favorite would be "Operation: There Is No Operation". It has good characterization and it has an in-depth look on the whole kids vs. adult war thing. Here is my take on crossover fanfiction. Yoshermon's statement on his fanfiction.net profile page pretty much sums up my opinion: Crossovers can make great and epic stories, but only if they're done right. Source link is right here: www.fanfiction.net/u/2024344/Yoshermon. I've read some crossover fanfictions on the Internet, and some of them are good. Some of my favorite KND crossovers are trickquestion's "Operation: JUSTICE", mah29732's "Operation: ELMO", and Cyber Commander's "Operation: POWERPUFF" series (which, in my opinion, is THE quintessential KND crossover). I also enjoyed reading "Of Dorks and Blockheads", a fanfiction made by Ballz Mahoney of fanfiction.net that crosses over "Peanuts" with "Ed, Edd n Eddy". Let's compare and contrast a Gamewizard2008 multi-crossover like "Operation: GALACSIA" and USSManhattan's story "Nazz'Tara of Kaijex II: Darkness Rising". As you can see, both fanfictions follow Yoshermon's rules of crossover fanfiction: - Keep everyone in character.
- Describe the characters, places or items in the crossover.
The first rule that I will talk about when comparing the two is: Don't rush into the crossover element.- USSManhattan's story "Nazz'Tara of Kaijex II: Darkness Rising" - The author did not jump straight into the crossover element immediately. He gradually introduced the crossover characters in Chapters 7, 8, 9, 11, and 12. I understand that the characters mentioned are from shows that have different themes, but the author did mention why they were introduced. For example, the author did give a background story on why Vickie and Frankie were turned into superpowered characters. That's what I like when it comes to crossover stories.
- Gamewizard2008's "Operation: GALACSIA" - In the first two chapters, the crossover characters and places are shoved into our faces with no logic or sense given. As the story goes on, more of them get thrown in for no reason. It's like if he throws as many crossover elements into our faces, the story will be more "epic". All of these places take place within Galaxia (which I'm calling Mindfuckia in my review). But I'll give him credit for at least mentioning where these things came from using the author's notes at the end of each chapter.
The second rule that I will talk about when comparing the two is: Keep characters from the series you're writing the fanfiction of the main characters in your story.- USSManhattan's story "Nazz'Tara of Kaijex II: Darkness Rising" - Even though the villains are not from the actual cartoon, the first story in the series shows us that it didn't follow the actual "Ed, Edd n Eddy" themes. The author did take good care at balancing between the crossover and characters and original characters along with the canon characters. I've read the fanfic and the author ensured that the canon characters are not background or minor characters.
- Gamewizard2008's "Operation: GALACSIA" - This is the only story where I've seen the author balance between the crossover and characters and original characters along with the canon characters. That's because in his later stories, more original characters will pop up from out of nowhere and eventually overshadow the actual theme of the show, which is a group of kids fighting against unjust adult tyranny on kids.
Toni from "The Acorn Cafe" also adds to my opinion of crossover fanfictions, saying that they're hard to write since the author must fully understand the universes that are being crossed over and he/she must find out ways for the characters to interact with each other without putting too much emphasis on either character. I agree with him that even the most unlikely crossover can work pretty well, but make sure that you know exactly what you are doing and don't just throw random characters into one story just because you like them. One such example is the fanfiction in the link right here: www.fanfiction.net/s/6273203/1/For more information on how to do crossover fanfictions properly and to see Toni's full opinion, click on the link right here: www.theacorncafe.org/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=19976&start=30That's my take on crossover fanfictions in general. And as for the fanfic "Operation: There Is No Operation", I read it and that it's good. I mentioned it in my review of "Operation: GALACSIA". It also mentions the similarities between crossover fanfictions and a bowl of stew.
