How do I change my profile and post pictures?

I've recently tried to change my profile picture, and post pictures on this site. It's not letting me do either. When I try to post a picture this comes up.-----> [/img]

Then with my profile picture. I posted the URL and it won't work. Then I tried taking down my picture and it STILL won't work.

How do I upload a picture?

How strange... are you sure you're using the image's direct url, and not the url to the whole page or something?
(I wish I was more computer-smart.)

Where are you getting the image from? Sometimes if something is wrong with the image it won't show up.

What I did (for my profile picture) was just find the image I wanted, right clicked and chose copy image location, then copied the URL link and put it in the box you're supposed to put it in.

...Don't know if that makes sense or someone already said that, but I wanted to try and help since I had similar troubles...

I guess. I got it to take down my picture but it still doesn't let me change it to another picture. I've tried two different pictures. Both are from Photo Bucket.

I still can't post pictures on threads or on my signature.

Uh...I checked and for my avatar I used something that started with HTTP:// and not the [img/] thing.....

So, Maybe you should try another link from photobucket? Use the one that starts with HTTP:// or something.

Maybe that would work.

Try copying and pasting every option photobucket gives you? You could be using the wrong one.

It looks to me like you copied the "Email & IM" link instead of the "Direct Link" one... is this possible? Because your link begins with "http://media.," whereas the correct one looks like this:

i0006.photobucket.com/albums/0006/findstuff22/Best%20Images/Icons/funnyiconcopy-1.jpg

If so, try the other one! If not, I recommend Googling your problem for people on other forums who've had similar issues...
