I'm sure we've all run into this problem, reply and quote buttons suddenly disappearing. It appears it occurs to prevent double-posting, proven by another member and myself after posting in one thread. It might still occur even if a double-post isn't going to happen, though.
If the reply and quote buttons are gone, here's a way you can still post, though it'll be tedious. First, go into the thread you're going to reply in. Now, see the "display&thread" part in the URL? Change the word display into "post." You should be taken to the reply page.
