www.youtube.com/watch?v=OruQy-X32O0I don't mind if she's an aethist, but I don't think she even knows what the hell she's talking about. She switched from fact, to questions...to airbourne... ...to products being 'clinically tested'... And I was just sitting there thinking...if this chick becomes a lawyer, we're all gonna die.

First of all, it's Atheist. Second of all, I thought it made some sense if you read the comment she left in the description.
And she's just expressing her opinion, lots of people on Youtube do that, it doesn't matter what religion.

The way you described it she sounds like a Extremist Atheist....Yes there is such a thing.

First of all, it's Atheist. Second of all, I thought it made some sense if you read the comment she left in the description. Thanks for the spell check. But since the teacher said that, it's GONNA be true...I mean, why would he lie? Whether his students get A or F doesn't affect his weekly wages. And she's just expressing her opinion, lots of people on Youtube do that, it doesn't matter what religion.[/quote] Expressing her opinion is fine, but it would've been if she said this, "I don't believe in religion; I use logic and science more than beliefs in miracles." But by saying, "[being gullible] You are also susceptible to something else called religion." As if we're stupid for believing in God. As if we're gullible in believing in God. Isn't that, in itself, an insult to us, the people who DO believe in God?

Good point, but I'm sure there are tons of videos like that that call those of us who do not believe in God dumb or gullible.
Yep, there are people like this all over. On all sides of the argument.

It's not about who's right and who's wrong....it's WHAT'S right and WHAT'S wrong.
And insulting other people out of their beliefs is WRONG.

I know. There are videos of religious people insulting Atheists on Youtube, too. That's wrong.

I didn't even notice what she was saying, because her voice went right through me.
Who'd want to be her boyfriend? She was that annoying. Man.

LOL Go figure boys. (No offense, every male member on the forum, if you happen to read this.)

Actually I can demonstrate, from an entirely theistic perspective, that being gullible does make you vulnerable to religion. Here's how:
Say that you believe in religion A. Obviously you think this religion is entirely true, holy and the One True Faith. Quite understandable. Now from this clearly follows that religions B, C, D...&c are false. Perhaps they are merely misguided but you may consider some to be wholly wrong and even dangerous. For instance a Christian may regard (quite rightly) Scientology as a dangerous and entirely false faith that only gullible people might indulge in.
Not that I condone making foam-flecked videos of condemnation, mind. I just felt like pointing this out.

Madame Hoagie's Gal
I'm insulted. No, wait, no I'm not, I know I'm annoying. Although she was definately annoying. Imagine if she had a really high pitched voice. That's pretty much what I sound like, except I'm not usually one for details. Edit: Nor am I american.
I sort of believed her stupid statement at first, simply because a lot of Americans appear stupid and it almost made sense.
I would like to know what on earth she's talking about when she says "airborne." Can anyone enlighten or am I not the only clueless one?
I think religion is pretty stupid, for all we know someone might've just been gullible and taken a children's story book seriously (when we had to do presentations on whether God existed and stuff in RE a few weeks back, a friend of mine's group showed this by showing that in 10, 000 years people would be worshipping Harry Potter.) Yes, I think religion is a load of bull (mostly christianity because of the non-fluffly christians my mum encounters on various newsgroups), because all it's got is faith and no solid evidence of anything.

I didn't even bother watching her. I've seen too many idiots on there, and I don't need another one.
Bottom line is: she is annoying, she needs to get a life instead of trying to get publicity by making a dope of herself. *nods*

Before I begin, I have no way of grasping what you're saying here for some reason, but I will state my opinion despite that. --- I will focus on how gullible, though how good gullible people are, as this isn't 100% about Religion as it is is gullible. I watch more TV than the average 16-17 year old girl. Usually about.... 70 hours a week a minimum. Everyday I see advertisements like weight loss pills that say, "You don't do anything! The pill does it for you." If it was that easy, we wouldn't have obesity issues in the United States as there would be some way to distribute this pill to people. But people still buy them. ... You know what even funnier? THEY WORK! Because of psychological things. It's the Placebo effect. Non-gullible people will not buy them, gullible ones will and those people WILL lose some weight souly because they think the pills work. Like: A study was done where four groups of people were given drinks. Group One Got: Non-Alchoholic, Fruity Drinks. Two: Non-Alchoholic, Fruity Drinks and told they were alchoholic. Three: Got alchoholic fruity drinks. Four: Alcholic fruity drinks and told they were non alchoholic. Groups Two and Three showed the most signs of being drunk. Two thought they were drunk... and I mean (they were showing severe symptoms of alcholic overdoes, eg puking, violence, etc and three, well, obviously did. Four didn't show as many signs as two. long story short; just because it shows it works, may mean it's all you doing it and it's not working. just because it's crazy, doesn't mean it wont work on you. placebo are the best pill to take... and I think it was in a lot of people..... they show signs of difference. EDIT: The title of this topic is making me angry, though. The video isn't about athiesm as much as gullibleness.
