I think Garfield was funny, but I wasnt interested in seeing a live action movie of it. Of course, as far as Garfiled comic, I think Odie won me over. Or Pookie.
I really hope this movie isnt bad. I liked The chipmunks when I was younger, so I'm thinking of going to see this movie. From the preivews I see, they don't have their"outfits" on. So i'm wondering if that's only from the previews, and they do have their traditiol outfits in the movie. From what I see, Alvin has no traditional red hat of his. Does anyone know the plot of the movie? I slightly wanna know..because I hope it isnt some movie with no plot, and just here for the sake of "updating" classic cartoons with real people.

I believe they get their clothes when they start a singing career.
From what I can tell, Dave is a failing songwriter, and if the Chipmunks sing his songs, he'll let them stay. They become big stars, and somewhere in their get their shirts.

Actually, i'm not sure if Alvin GETS a hat. On the Chipmunks website, there's an image of them, and he's wearing a red hoodie.

Me too, but not sure, his red cap already became a signature instead of his hoodie. Well, it's all from the cartoons last time.

Jesse Mccartney Voices Theodore. I find that kind of a bad sign.
But Still I'm gonna see it.

Jess Mccartney? Ouch. x.x I hated him when back when he was the "zac efron" of the early 2000' The good thing with te chipmunks is that their voices are high pitched and speeded up, so it's not going to be as easy to tell.
Alvin has a red hoodie? D: But i sitll want to see this.

They're just trying to update the style and the outfits. It's hardly an indicator of the entire movie.
Actually, I think it's interesting that they're mixing the actual origin of the Chipmunks into the film. A failing songwriter who makes it big by having the Chipmunks sing his songs.

Alvin has a red hoodie? D: But i sitll want to see this. The red hoodie might be a bad sign. I'm not sure whether it'll be good or bad. But if the movie turns out well, it's alright. But if it's worse, then the movie company will take responsibility for their mistake. After all, if a franchise is screwed up, it'll anger the fans very badly.

Thank goodness Alvin and the gang are back so they can fart in Dave's face, say things like ''Sup playa?' and sing 'Don't Cha' in the shower. That's from a review of the movie. No thanks. I don't want my Chipmunks chirping lame hip-hop cliches and cheesy disposable pop crap. I'd rather see the old 80s cartoons or the Chipmunks Christmas special I saw when I was a kid. ETA: I found, well, the second half of that special. youtube.com/watch?v=VSWKggPZ3Is

I saw this movie earlier today, and it wasn't that bad. I liked it, anyway. It gave me warm fuzzies inside. And you can't tell that JM is voicing Theodore, so it shouldn't get in the way of movie for the anti-JM-ers.

It was all right. I saw it on Saturday night. I didn't love it, but it was pretty enjoyable. Especially for kids and people who watched the cartoon when they were kids. Aw man, the chipmunks were pretty cute. Simon was my favorite.
If you liked the cartoon, you'll probably like Tim Hill's movie.

Does anyone know the plot of the movie? I slightly wanna know..because I hope it isnt some movie with no plot, and just here for the sake of "updating" classic cartoons with real people. According to my friend who has seen the movie, there is indeed a plot, and a villain, and that's all I know really because I forced her not to give me spoilers. OHMYGOD on the 3/4 Heaven forum a good percentage of us have recently gone CHIPMUNKS CRAZY. My friend who saw the movie has even made an entire forum for the little fellas, and our OC chipmunk group. I'd just see the movie as a comedy film, probably, I doubt watching the film would make me a) Run out of the theatre vomiting or b) hate the cartoon in favor of the movie.

The plot? I'm too lazy to explain it. But yeah, there's plot (hehe) and...well...there's a guy who's kinda a villain. One word to describe the whole movie? Cute. It's definitely a cute movie.
