Chapter 1: Little changes
All of sector V were on a high after their recent battle with the Delighful Children From Down The Lane, even though numbuh 4 was hit by a dart he was still happy, infact he was happier than normal now.
"So what do'ya guys want for dinner?" asked numbuh 5, she was normaly the one in charge of making sure everyone ate.
"I dont know, but im starving" said numbuh 2 with his stomach rumbling for everyone to hear.
"how bout chinesse" said the happy fun loving numbuh 3.
"okay numbuh 3 we'll go for a chinesse at that resturaunt that we went to a while ago" said the leader numbuh 1.
Numbuh 4 stayed quiet, sitting down and watching his friends he felt a sudden warmth go through him, he got up and followed his friends out of the treehouse and into the coolbus.
A little while later they arrived at the resturaunt, they all went in and sat down, numbuh 1 sat next to numbuh 2, who was next to numbuh 5 and on the other side, numbuh 4 went and sat down next to numbuh 3.
Numbuh 4 picked up a menu and chose what he was having when the waitress came to the table. He then picked up his napkin when his food came and he folded it and layd it neatly in his lap.
Everyone stared at him but he did not notice untill numbuh 5 said "Did numbuh 5 just see that" she asked astonished.
"see what numbuh 5" numbuh 4 asked after he had swallowed, so unlike him.
"and again" said numbuh 2, his mouth wide open in surprise.
"Did you just use manners, i mean first you put your napkin in your lap and then you swallow before speaking" said numbuh 1.
"Well first of all numbuh 1 i put the napkin in my lap beacuse i do not want to get food on my trousers and secondly i swallowed before talking because there is no need for you to see food in my mouth" suddenly numbuh 4 realised he had used manners, and that he counted to two without thinking, 'wow' he thought 'i must be getting older'.
"hum, well just as long as you dont act to posh okay man" said numbuh 5 with a stern look in her face "i prefer you the way that you are at the moment, i dont think the rest of da world is ready yet for Wallabee Beetles the tuff kid to have manners" she added.
Everyone began eating again, just then a girl walked in and walked near the table, but unfortunatly slipped on somthing that had fell on the floor earlyer.
Numbuh 4 quickly put his napkin on the table and rushed to her, he helped her to her feet "are you okay miss?" he asked.
She looked at him in surprise and said in return "yes thanks numbuh 4, um well cya" she said waving goodbye as she went go join her friends on the other side of the room.
Numbuh 5 looked from numbuh 4 and then to numbuh 3 she had a blazing but scheming look in her eye, now numbh 5 knew that was jelousy but what numbuh 4 was doing was starting to become a bit freaky, he was polite and seemed well mannerd, she thought she better do somthing.
Numbuh 1 seemed to have the same idea, because he stood up and grabbed numbuh 4 under the arm and said "Okay everyone we're leaving" and with that they left the resturaunt.
Chapter 2: He finally tells all.
They enterd the main room of the tree house, Numbuh's 1 and 5 sat numbuh 4 down on the sofa and stared at him.
"What?" he asked sounding confused.
"Are you alright numbuh 4" Asked numbuh 1 looking concerned for his teammate.
"why yes, why wouldnt i be numbuh 1?" he asked, this made the others worried.
"okay shrimp" said numbuh 5 agrily grabbing him by the front of his hoodie, "if you dont" but she was pushed aside.
"leave him alone" said numbuh 3 pulling numbuh 4 of the sofa and dragging him out of the room, "come on wally lets go to my room, we can play rainbow monkeys" she said to him.
"okay" he said, the others heard this and now they decided to take serious action.
"Numbuh 5 contact numbuh 362 and tell her what going on" numbuh 2 i want you to look at the tapes of the fight with the delightfuls, maybe they did somthing, i will keep an eye on numbuh 4" said numbuh 1, looking at his teammates.
back with numbuh's 3 and 4.
"you can have this one, and i'll have this one" said numbhu 3 handing him an orange rainbow monkey and picking a green one for herself.
Numbuh 4 thought to himself, mabye he should tell her now, since they're alone.
"Listen Kuki, before we play there's somthing i have to tell you" he said, he thought that this wasnt so hard, he didnt even feel himself blushing like when he normaly down when he try's to tell her.
"yes Wally" said numbuh 3, her eyes glistening.
"I need to tell you that, i like you, i really like, like you" he said to her.
"Me too" she said, she leaned towards him and kissed him, he kissed her back and then wrapped his arms around her. He was so glad that no-one was watching, but unknown to him and numbuh 3, someone was watching.
Chapter 3: Tests
Numbuh 1 walked away from numbuh 3's room in shock but happy, he always knew that it would happen, but under these circumstances, what if when numbuh 4 was back to normal, what if he broke her heart. 'I have to help them' he thought.
He ran to the mission control room were he knew numbuh 5 would be. She was there by the looks of it she had just told Numbu 362 of the situation.
"Numbuh 5 we have a problem" he said
"we sure do numbuh 1" said numbuh 2, he had just walked in and looked worried.
"yeah, well i just went to check on numbuh's 3 and 4 and well, uh, he told her that he liked her an all and i saw them kiss" he said to his friends.
"so, its not that bad numbuh 1, but this is, Numbuh 4 has been shot with a delightful dart, look" he put on the screen a video still of a dart in numbuh 4's neck.
"numbuh 5 thinks thats not good" said numbuh 5, "but anyway, numbuh 362 is sending a group of science nerds down to run some tests, they should be here any minute.
And sure enough, six nerds walked through the door, behinde them three people were carrying their equipment.
"okay, where is the subject" said the tallest and uglyist.
"In numbuh 3's room, i'll show you" said numbuh 1.
Everyone followed him, , well excpet for one of the nerds who was spouting a load of technical mumbo jumbo. Numbuh 2 told them about the dart once the other nerd had caught up. No-one spoke.
Numbuh 1 knocked on the door of numbuh 3's room, "numbuh 3 we need talk to to numbuh 4 a moment please" he said and waited for an anwser.
"okay come in" she said a moment later, the two were sitting by the window looking out at the stars.
"Numbuh 4 these are the science nerds from moonbase, um they need to ask you some questions" he said wondering if he was doing the right thing.
"Hey numbuh 4" said the smallest of the nerds. "I hear that you were shot by a dart when you fought the delightfuls today, is that true?" he asked.
"yes" numbuh 4 replide. The nerds looked at eachother and nodded.
"Okay numbuh 768, hook him up" the small one said.
Numbuh 4 went over to numbuh 768, and was hooked to a big black screen.
"Oh my lord" said another nerd, also know as numbuh 6509
"What's wrong" asked numbuh 3, she looked worried.
"Numbuh 8987, call moonbase tell them we have a code T.6.D.13.2- BLACK, and we need numbuh 362, 86 and Maurice" said numbuh 768.
"But Maurice was decommishioned" said numbuh 1 surprised.
"numbuh 5 would you care to explain, i suppose its time they found out" it was numbuh 362, 86 and maurice. No-one had heard them come in.
"i was just about to call you commander" said numbuh 8987
"Just tell them" said maurice.
"oh okay, um well, i knew that Maurice hadnt been decomishioned when i went after cree with chicken pox, you see there is a secret organisation outside of the kids next door, beyond the adults and teenagers, its dedicated to helping kids, you see, you only get chosen to join if you have proved yourself and well, we are going to be part, after we're 13 of course" she said this so calmly.
"wow" said numbuh 2.
"how did you guys know to come hear" asked numbuh 3 who was shocked by this news but more worried about numbuh 4.
"The organisation, we have someone working inside with the delightfuls and he told us" said Numbuh 362.
"Dont worry, he gave us the antidote, but you wont like it, you'll be knocked out for a couple of hours" said numbuh 86 handing numbuh 768 the tube of blue liquid.
"What is it with the colour blue?" asked numbuh 4 no looking as numbuh 768 injected the antidote in his arm. He felt into a deep sleep almost immediatly.
Chapter 4: Happy Ending
Numbuh 4 awoke, it was day. He looked around his room and then got up and walked to his wardrobe and began to change. His head was spinning, he was quite awhere of the events a few hours previously. 'man did i really kiss her'. he thought as he walked toward the main room.
"Morning g-" he said yawning but was cut short when numbuh 3 wraped her arms around his neck and kissed him sofly on his cheek. 'okay so it really happend' he thought.
"you better be back to normal numbuh 4" said numbuh 2 looking at him.
"you bet the crud i am" he said laughing.
"yep he is back" said numbuh 5.
And numbuh 4 spent the rest of the day with his friends and new girlfriend.
