With those future new shows, we could just give them a try by watching one episode of each and then decide.
Anyhow, the final episodes of Grim adventures of Billy & Mandy and of the KND will be the greatest episodes both shows ever had.

Don't judge these shows until you see them. ...Then you can judge all you like. It's possible that the descriptions just make them sound extremely stupid when they're actually very well done. And you don't need to worry about the declining quality of cartoons. It's cyclic, it'll be fine. Also, it's subjective. People have pointed to KND as an example of how low cartoons have got as well. Those plots are more than bad: they contain awful, dumb ideas. A good cartoon always cointains a good idea, with only one exception in history, of a VERY GOOD cartoon that contained a bad idea: TMNT. I mean, c'mon, a history about four ninja turtles with italian artists's names?? That was a horrible idea, but they worked with it so well that they could revert it and make it look like the idea was good, but it wasn't. They turned the water into wine. For that, TMNT and DuckTales* are the two cartoons that i most enjoyed in my childhood. But, as i said, TMNT is an exception. (i'm gonna watch the movie btw) The rule is good ideas = good cartoons, and those are bad, bad ideas. *: For the nostalgic ones: www.youtube.com/watch?v=34Sb0hGUNIQDuckTales's opening theme, absolutely the best opening theme i ever heard.

Hey, the idea of a yellow sponge who lived underwater and worked as a fry cook is a bad idea, but Spongebob Squarepants sure turned out great.
Those shows do sound bad from their descriptions, but I'm sure they're not going to be as mind numbing as they sound.

I'll give new shows a shot, but I definately will have to watch more that one episode to judge it... most first episodes for shows aren't that great. Every show I like took me until season 2 to get into, so they could stink at first and probably wind up growing on me.
...And with all my favorite shows gone and just a bunch of lousy new ones, I'll HAVE to like one of the new shows. It's hard to explain... it's like this thing I saw on TV once... it said if we spend hundreds of years in a world with no color or any beauty, and just gray mud everywhere, we would still find a way to say which mound of mud was prettier or better than the other. Like, it's human nature to find something that appeals to us, no matter what cruddy choices we have.... (like I said: hard to explain >_<)

Well, I only can say two words ,"We'll see" I mean, even if you hate it (like me) give it a chance. If I didn't give KND a chance (I used to think it was dumb) I wouldn't be here! (Okay, maybe not........)

I can't wait for The Grim Adventures of the Kids Next Door! KND is hilarious, in my opinion, and B&M can be, if you just ignore all the really crude humor. It's going to be great. ;D
Those new CN shows... I didn't even finish reading about "Flapjack" because it sounded so pointless. I have almost no wish to watch it. The plot sounds weird, and I don't really like the drawings... (I know it's an odd reason not to like the show, but I think it'd be too distracting for me to watch a show with drawings I don't like. That was part of the reason I don't watch "Squirrel Boy.")
So I hope more KND gets out on DVD, or when I'm a mom, my kids will have melted brains from watching all this. -___-

That was part of the reason I don't watch "Squirrel Boy." Yeah, I know what you mean. I can never watch a show that doesn't have characters that are atleeste remotely cute... but that's another thing that changes after the first season. Just look at the first episode of Billy and Mandy! They looked just plain cruddy then, but now they look great Same with Ed Edd n Eddy... plus, in the beginning, their voices sounded all raspy, which annoyed the crud outta me. >_< There's not one show I love now, that I liked in season one (except Fosters, I guess). First seasons just stink, almost all the time. They need time to grow. ;D Anyway, to be on topic: *cheers* Hakalaka Bakalaka Bish Boom BAH Crossover Crossover RAH RAH RAH!! XDDDD

First seasons just stink, almost all the time. They need time to grow. ;D For the most part, they do. I'll be honest--I find the first season of KND lacking when compared to the other seasons. There's a couple of good eppies (GROW-UP), but for the most part, the first season is ehh. That's not a criticism of Mr. W and Sector CP at all. They hadn't figured out where the show was going to go. There's one person on this board who's going to disagree with what I just said, but it's a free country, and no one has to agree with me. ;D

I agree totally. First season KND was okay, but it didn't really hold my interest as much as later seasons.
Of course, even during season two there were people complaining about The Decline Of KND.

Decline of KND = I loved Season Two because that's when their characters started blossoming. Not all the eps in that season (or the rest of the seasons, for that matter) were great, but I really enjoyed seeing their personalities develop, as compared to the generic characters they were in Season One. Again, NOT a criticism of the show.

Well I thought that first season KND was...okay. I remember laughing the first time I saw the KND Gadget screen what with the wireframe model and such. But as far as I can see it has only improved since reaching a plateau of sorts around Season 4. INTERVIEWS, of course, will probably tip the balance though. With the deplorable exception of the X-Files (Hisss! Booo!) series finales tend to be very VERY good.

I hate season one. I remember saying "they chose this crap over Kitty Bobo?!" because, you know, KND won the Big Pick over Kitty Bobo and I was rooting for KB to win. It was really a disappointment, and it really showed that the KND was below average, but life goes on.
It was until some folks at a certain message board started to post this KND episode that parodied the 2nd Renaissance in the Animatrix. I watched several episodes of KND before, but with prejudice, but I decided to give it a chance anyway. ARCHIVE was the point where I had a change of heart, and Operation ZERO completely changed me into a fan.
I then began to watch episodes from Season two onwards, and I was extremely pleased, not only they expand KND from a backwatered sector to a global organization, but the characters have also show their certain charm and appeal that made them likeable. Not to mention, more supporting casts as well.
And now, I enjoy the KND, but still bitter with the first season, which I continue to avoid watching. :)global

To go off-topic once more...I'll make it quick...it's really a bummer that the three fan-supported CN shows (Billy & Mandy, KND, and EE&E (even though I never got into it, it has a large support base)) are ending. I wish they still had the "CN Big Picks", so we wouldn't be bombarded with all this CN executive hand-picked CRAP.
I also kinda wish there was a cable channel that showed all fan-supported cartoons. Eh. I can dream, can't I? ;D

Does anyone remember "Coconut Fred"? That sucked so bad that they only showed one season of it in my country. I predict the same destiny for "Flapjack" and some of those new shi... i mean, shows.
