Maybe someone at CN is running scared (typical dumb corporate reaction) because of the Viacom/YouTube lawsuit (even though CN belongs to Turner, not Viacom).
It was a good idea anyway, JAM. I don't see why the downloads have to stop...they're practically encouraged, due to all the overseas fans.

To be completely honest I have been expecting this to happen ever since 2004, so it doesn't really surprise me that it's finally coming to pass.

I think by blatantly, he meant, "Putting up a thread titled "Full KND downloads" on the highest trafficked KND forum on the net." I'd suggest taking it to another, less obvious site. And locking and removing the download links here.
Forums can get shut down for illegal file sharing.

Is it just filesharing, or are they going after Youtube postings as well?
If they are cracking down on Youtube, one way to get around it would be to create a code/password for all KND-related postings. Take out one of the words from "Kids Next Door" and put in said word instead. Copyright holders would not know to search for the modified phrase, and postings containing this phrase would not show up in a search for the normal term. Wrestling fans have managed to keep their posts from being taken down this way. Just search for "Cheese Souffle", and you will see what I'm talking about.

Youtube's been crazy removing KND stuff. It even removes alot of music videos saying it was "against copyright laws", which makes no freaking sence if it's just a music video! >___<

Yeah, but aren't there, like, a MILLION AMV's? What makes certain ones any different? Unless it depends on which song...
If you make sure to say who the song and clips are owned by in your video discription is it okay then, or can they still remove it?

They can remove it. It's pretty obvious what doesn't belong to someone.

*siiigh* -____- I sure hope I don't get any of mine removed... I didn't mean to do something bad, it was just out of fangirlism and fun that I made 'em I still don't see how only some of them get removed while others don't when ALL animated music videos have songs that the makers don't own. They minus well just ban AMVs altogether if that's the rule.

Basically what decides whether or not a video gets removed is:
Does the company who owns the copyright WANT it removed?
Some companies simply don't care, which is why some videos stay up but not others.

hmm... makes sense! It's amazin how they find that stuff out. My videos will probably be okay, I guess... "Cartoon Heroes" is used for plenty of stuff, and I've seen stuff for the song I used from "Wolf's Rain" there, and the song I have from the movie "Party Monster", well... that movie wasn't that big, so I don't think anyone will care. ;D I think I'll just avoid the stuff owned by really big companies, like pop songs.

Youtube deleted ALL the movies. This is really sad news... the episode download thread is what makes this forum special.

Basically what decides whether or not a video gets removed is: Does the company who owns the copyright WANT it removed? Some companies simply don't care, which is why some videos stay up but not others. Also: 1. Whether or not someone who's anti-download decided to female-dog about it. 2. If that someone doesn't like the person who uploaded the video, so they report out of spite. (This kind of thing happens a lot in DeviantArt and Fanfiction.net.)
