Mr. Bitstar? There's another episodes of Love Hina. Love Hina Again. Those are just a ova or oav. Whatever that means.
OVA/OAV basically means those episodes were
direct-to-video releases (in other words they
appeared on video without playing on TV or
in theatres).
As to the rest of what you said...
In any case, it seems you're right... it's
quite odd that the series is so short for being
based on a manga (comic/graphic novel series)
that lasted 14 volumes. 14 volumes usually
equals at least a 48-episode anime. By
contrast, Dragon Ball (before it became DBZ)
lasted 16 Graphic Novels, and it's anime was
153 episodes long plus four movies.
I'm assuming you mean "IF Love Hina came out
on Adult Swim" well... remember that in Japan,
the show DID play on TV and DID have
commercial breaks, so if it played on Adult
Swim they'd undoubtebly have commercial
breaks there, too. You should be able to tell,
in fact, precisely where the commercials are
inserted on TV.
(and BTW, as a point of fact, ALL "thirty minute"
shows that play on TV are, in fact, 22 minutes--
the remaining 8 minutes are for commercials.
As a rule, in fact, anything that's televised is
shorter than it claims. If it claims to be an hour
long, it's really 48 minutes, if it claims to be
four hours, it's really three hours and twenty
minutes, and in all cases the difference is made
up by commercials... the exception to all this, of
course, being commercial-free channels. In any
case, this is true no matter what country you
live in--just check your KND recordings sometime).
