The games and the anime are completely different. The Adventures manga is based off the game with some parts of the anime and the comic is slightly based off the games as well.
Season 2 was pretty good. A little bit after that is when i first stopped but now I'm just rewatching any episode I want.

I'm guessing Comsie had forgotten about them.
Besides, they're only season sections. They haven't been touched in a while. Why should you worry about it?
