The Best of Season One

Ah, Season One. We have the pilot of the show that won the most votes for the next Cartoon Network show and started this whole roller-coaster ride. We have gradual introduction of the fab five operatives of Sector V. We also have some nice foreshadowing here towards the season finale, with KND gradually being introduced as a global organization and the Delightful Children gaining the power they need to take out Numbuhs One-through-Five. Things were quite a bit simpler back then too. Whether or not this is for the better depends on your own viewpoint.

So, what was your personal favorite episode of Season One? You might not remember or have seen all the episodes on this list, but just give your vote for an episode that stands out. Feel free to also talk about why. It's fun to talk about this show.

Looking back at it now, I personally perceive season one to be the weakest season. I don't think it's a terrible season, it's just that it's not exactly the KND universe we know quite yet, although a lot is established in this season.

I have a few episodes from season one that I enjoy. But one of my personal favorites is LICE. It has awesome Abby action, a lot of great gags, and of course, who can ever forget Kuki impersonating Arnold Shwartzenager.

I really have no idea, I vote for the first one I miss, but all the episodes are my favorite
the one that I vote was operation O.F.F.I.C.E. because is the first 3/4 episode, but seriously, I like all the episodes

OFFICE was actually the first episode of this show I ever saw, so it has a special place in my heart, definitely.

And I agree with you, Prettywitch. I feel like the quality of everything from the music to the animation improved so much more as the show went on, which makes it hard for me to watch S1 episodes again without wincing. Which is why I can't wait to make polls on the seasons that I actually do care about. ;D

If I had to pick a favorite S1 episode, it would probably be THE-FLY. Such wonderful characterization in this one without a single word of dialogue! The finale, GROW-UP, was a close second.

I said QUIET but there are so many I like. I haven't seen a lot of season 1 episodes in eons. I really wish they release a season set soon.

I voted for Operation: GROW-UP. I always thought it was the best season finale episode in the show.

I picked PIANO. It was one of the first episodes I've seen. I really liked the humor, much likely the one Wally gave. Really like the other episodes, but PIANO, well, it gets to me.

I loved Operation: T.E.E.T.H. I thought it was a good story and liked that it just started out with Numbuh 3 coming out of the candy shop to the other KND being attacked in thier treehouse. I thought it was cool how Nightbrace didn't just go after the whole KND at once.

Operation L.I.C.E., without a doubt. Loved the episode to bits.

Operation: Grow-up, because like GoldenFlither said it was the best season finale for KND

"GROW-UP" is also my favorite from season 1. Lots of action and suspense as the treehouse is literally smashed to pieces by the revenge hungry Delightful Children. Then the team faces the major crises of carrying on without the grumpy, agetized Numbuh 1.

And of course, the episode introduced Father (whom we'd heard about a few times but never seen), and very firmly established him as the KND's most dangerous adversary. A great, classic KND episode with a stupendous climax and some of the best action of the season.

I-SCREAM is also one of my faves from this season, the Ice Cream truck chase is amazing.

Operation: LIZZIE has always been my favorite episode. It's also funny when his team tease Nigel for having a girlfriend. XD Made me laugh.

But seriously, other than that, I enjoyed all the episodes from season one.

I'll admit that season 1 is my least favorite season. I don't know why, but it just didn't click with me like seasons 2-6 did (could be partly that I'm not a big fan of Sector V, and I liked when they introduced more global opratives). Still, I liked some of the episodes. My favorite had to be Q.U.I.E.T., I found this episode cute. Mainly the parts with Lizzie and Wally.

I also really liked G.R.O.W.-U.P., because I feel that episode marked the series' evolution. Something about this episode gave me a different feel from the rest of season one, plus introduced Father and his awesomeness.

I'm neutral with most of the other season 1 episodes, the only ones I really disliked being T.E.E.T.H. and T.O.M.M.Y.

i thought office was pretty good along with grow up. they are just plain awesome episodes!

I have to say the Operation Piano is my fave. I really liked the Hamster Next Door that filled in for Sector V at the end
