Basically, I think that was to illustrate how he didn't put two and two together, as is so often said. That is, the animators illustrated a figure of speech into a physical (kinda) representation.

True, but that's only when she was provoked... Getting upset when your prized Rainbow Monkey has been destroyed is hardly concittered "mean" I'd think. Negative Numbuh 3 seemed to be nasty all the time, especially toward her teammates.

I noticed something about this episode that may prove that Numbuh 4's not as stupid as everyone thinks he is. If I'm not mistaken, Nega 4 said when Positive Numbuh 4 popped out of the pool: "But that's UNpossible!"

Unpossible is NOT a word. If Nega 4's the opposite of Wally, the Wally's not completely stupid.
